The Crispy Chicken sandwich with the fried tomato? Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Every bite felt like it knew exactly what it was doing.
And the Flight from the shareables menu? A full-on flavor fireworks show. Each option brought something different, and all of it worked.
If you’re looking for 5-star service, seriously good food, and prices that won’t make you flinch, this spot delivers.
First of all, if you’re a party of 2, the only tables available are smushed so close to neighboring tables that there’s no more than 4” of space between them. Any time someone had to pass next to our table or between theirs and ours (waitress included), we inevitably wound up with someone’s rear end right by our heads. Tables of four have a 50-50 chance of dealing with this issue, too.
We ordered an omelette and grilled cheese, and waited 45 min for our food. While the waitress was very nice, she walked by our table nearly a dozen times while we waited and never once noticed we didn’t have food, even when she was at the table next to us.
When the food did come out, it wasn’t even warm. My husband found his omelet and potatoes to be flavorful, but the toast was cold and hard. My grilled cheese had maybe a single slice of cheese between two sourdough slices and the tomato soup was overly acidic.
Again, I really wanted to like this place, but it wasn’t a great experience. Even if the food had been great, the environment is really uncomfortable for a party of two.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the owners clearly put so much care into making their guests feel at home. They even surprised us with complimentary desserts because they said we had nice smiles — such a sweet and thoughtful gesture! The crème brûlée was next-level good, one of the best I’ve had.
Between the delicious food, warm hospitality, and those little touches that make a meal memorable, I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend checking this spot out if you’re in the area!
