Tatte is a chain of breakfast/brunch cafe serving up a wide variety of foods and drinks.

The place itself is quite spacious, with a countertop seating as well as many tables.

We got a matcha latte and a hot chocolate. The matcha latte was good, didn’t have as much matcha taste as we hoped, but it was still good and had a nice consistency. The hot chocolate was similar, as it didn’t have a strong chocolate taste but it was a little milky and tasted fine.

I visited Tatte in Newton and absolutely loved it!
The Pistachio Latte was amazing – it had real nutty texture with a hint of peppery flavor, making each sip fun and unique. The aroma and smooth taste were just perfect.

The salad was so fresh and flavorful, really refreshing to eat. And the blueberry tart was a true highlight – sweet, juicy blueberries paired beautifully with the crisp cracker base and fresh cream. Delicious and well-balanced! ✨

It can get quite busy, but trust me, it’s definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend stopping by! ☕

My favorite place to eat in Boston. Incredibly delicious hot chocolate and, as always, the best bakery .

Compared to other locations, the staff (some of them) are not very nice and it’s almost impossible to modify the menu. There are not many vegetarian or vegan options, and the ones they have nearly all have cilantro (which a lot of people hate). I tried to sub something without the cilantro during ordering, paid for my food, and then discovered they hadn’t done it (without telling me). I was then informed the “chef” (chef, really? It’s a notch above a fast food set-up) would not make substitutions. Fine, but tell me when I’m ordering. Don’t let me drive away and find out at home I’ve been given something I can’t eat. Manager was miserable. “Chef” was entitled. I’m glad she eats meat and loves cilantro, but the menu and service are for the customer, not for her. For these prices, I can’t understand treating customers so poorly. Lastly, I used to live in Brookline and loved the Taste in St. Mary’s. It feels like they just expect customers since it’s Newton and busy. I won;t be going back.

If you are looking for a place to stop and grab a sweet treat, a coffee or tea with a pleasant atmosphere, look no further than Tatte Bakery. The place is spacious with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the day, pastries are amazing and pair well with a wide selection of coffee and tea drinks. They also have a selection of food items if you are looking for more of a meal.

Ordered:
-Smoked Salmon, Avocado & Egg Sandwich: look at the picture, need I say more? Delicious.
-Chocolate Croissant: generous amount of chocolate! Flaky outside. Just wish it was a little more airy. Overall satisfied.
-Flat white: solid drink!

Vibe: Bright cafe with lots of seating. But it’s so popular that you may have to wait for someone to leave in order to sit.

Parking: Street parking.

Would I return?: Yess!! Loved it.

Overall, Tati Cafe deserves a 4-star rating for their food. They offer a wide variety of cakes and pastries, and most of them taste great.

This week, we ordered a whole apple pie. Unfortunately, by the time we were ready to serve it (2 hours after we bought it), the pie was too hard. The sides couldn’t be cut, the base was too soft, and the top was too hard and completely separated from the apple filling. I believe this is unusual for Tati, but for this cake, I would give only one star.

Food is yummy and the bakery desserts are nice with seasonal changes. It’s always crowded. Staff is generally friendly but not consistently helpful. Like I asked them to add feta cheese to my dish and was willing to pay extra but they refused to accommodate the request saying it was impossible but the first time I got the dish I asked for that and they did.

The best Tatte branch I’ve been so far. The restaurant was very spacious, the staffs were nice and the service was fast.

I was recommended lamb shakshuka with challah bread by the staff. The proportion was generous and it tasted good. However, if you don’t enjoy smell of lamb meat, I suggest you to go for non-lamb option.

Tatte has nice variety of sweets and breads. I especially enjoyed the fruit tart and the pistachio croissant. However, the drinks I’ve tried so far were quite disappointing; cold brew and matcha latte.

I’ve went Tatte 3 times so far for the last 4 days in Boston and would recommend this place(perhaps not for the drinks).

Wow! After ordering from Tatte for the past three years, I never would have thought this could happen. I ordered the “fresh” mozzarella sandwich with prosciutto, and when I took a bite, I noticed something very chewy… it was a piece of wrapping paper! So incredibly disgusting. I called the store over and over, but there was no response. I don’t have a car and have class, so going there is a huge inconvenience. It’s so disappointing that something like this could slip past them. What a hazard.
