Loved this place! The large windows let in so much natural light, which makes the space feel really bright and welcoming. The coffee and pastries were great, and the pistachio croissant is now my favorite.
Also shoutout to the guy who had long braids— I think his name was Marcel (sorry if I got it wrong). He was super friendly and sweet. He recommended me his favorite dessert and it was so good. Great service. I’ll definitely be back!

We’ve visited the newly opened Tatte café location several times already and wanted to share how much we enjoyed the experience. We’ve always loved this coffee shop, but this new location pleasantly surprised us with such a wonderful team.
We came with our two kids and sat on the terrace. The manager was extremely friendly and welcoming – he came over to check on us, asked how we were doing, and made us feel very comfortable. It was such a warm and hospitable interaction.
The rest of the staff were also very kind and pleasant when we ordered our coffee. Everyone was friendly and created a really nice atmosphere.
One more thing I especially appreciated about this location is the large, enclosed terrace. Since I have two small children, it was wonderful that they had space to play and move around while I didn’t have to worry about them running toward the street. For parents, that makes a big difference.
We truly enjoyed our visits and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

I’m a big Tatte fan & was thrilled when this one opened near me. However, a few of the workers here are extremely rude. & consistency of drinks & food is not there. This short guy with a ponytail came up to the register I was standing at looking like I was bothering him, didn’t say ‘hi what can I get you’ or anything at all, just stood and looked at me with this rude face. I come here a couple times a week but will definitely plan to go back to the Arlington location, as that location always provides friendly service, a clean environment even though it’s usually busy. The falls church location needs a lesson in service. Not every worker is that unfriendly but it’s definitely more of a hostile environment which does not make me want to come at all.

Not your run of the mill breakfast, lunch spot. In the heart of Falls Church, Tatte Bakery & Café is really good. Placed an order for a Green and Nutty Salad with Chicken, and a Turkey BLT which avocado. And the meals were delicious! The flavors were truly melting in our mouths. We grabbed a few bakery items for later. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful with menu items and suggestions. The restroom was clean, well stocked and with all working equipment.

After reading a few others reviews. I wan to be clear this restaurant just opened about 1 week ago and it’s going to take some time to find some good hard workers to do this type of work in this area. My wife and Son and girlfriend. All liked our food. It’s different type of service you need to look at the menu so take a seat at a table so everyone can get your orders together. Then you take it to the register and place your order they give you a number. Then 3 servers came out and our meals were hot and delicious. Then you bus your own tables. Pick up after yourself as it should be. The pastry and cakes and everything is made locally in DC and we had something the other day. We enjoyed it and was very fresh. Someone said it was dry. But you know their are other business in the areas that will come in to write negative about a business just because. I speak the truth. I highly recommend this shop.

After few months of opening, the tastes are better. Pricey though.
We tried take out. They were good but the peach tart fell apart.
Service is OK

Horrible – they were out of several items on their menu … the eggs were cold … the bacon was limp … the toast wasn’t toasted … the grilled cheese sandwich wasn’t grilled, hardly had any cheese … the carrot cake was dry and way too sweet … the trash bins were overflowing … we love the Tatte downtown… definitely won’t be back!

The atmosphere contains a welcoming ambiance that is the perfect place to get lunch or if you are looking for somewhere to work! The service is impeccable, they check up on you regularly, and the waiters are very nice! The food is also delicious – we got the carrot cake, orange upside down cake, mozzarella sandwich, chicken pita, flatbread sandwich, the matcha lemonade, strawberry refresher, and mango ginger tea. Everything was a 1000/10.

I did enjoy my first visit here. My coffee and pastry were good. We had no problem finding a quiet seat. The staff are very friendly. The manager is impressive, But by my second visit, I began to feel some of its disadvantages. This Tatte is smaller than the one in Arlington, so by later in the morning it was almost full (although I did manage to find a table for two). And the garage parking system is just terrible. Park on or near S West St. if possible. If you do have to use the garage, scan the QR code on one of the green posts, keep your camera open to that webpage, note your license plate number, go inside Tatte, and ask for help from a staff member registering yourself for 3 hours free parking.

Very nice coffee shop. Lot of sunlight. We had cappuccinos, cheese borek and Jerusalem bagel. Delicious.
