Definitely the worst Tatte location I have been so far. I was hesitant to stop by this location because of the other reviews. Well, I can assure you there’s a reason for their rating.
The food was bland and things were just not right. Only one person behind the counter taking orders, rushed service, no water left, no utensils, no soap in the restrooms.
If you’re expanding, make sure to be consistent!

I think it’s time for Tatte to re-visit their hybrid serving model. It is a combination of counter and waiter service which just leads to confusion and inefficiency. The food is still excellent. The pastries and fruit are fresh and delicious. However, while the warm prepared brunch items are also good, it takes forever to actually get it. Also, once served, it was cold, clearly indicating that it was sitting out for awhile. Look, it is easy to see why this place is popular, but it could be so much better with more efficient service.

I’m a coffee lover. I’ve given this place a try at least 5 times and it’s always been the same outcome: just very poor coffee.

Mind you, I’m talking about black coffee.

It’s just as bad as it gets.

The sweets look great, taste alright but don’t feel good to my stomach (or my wife’s). They feel like l had a stone.

The atmosphere is nice, relaxed. The music isn’t usually too loud so it’s pleasant place to sit and chill out.

3 starts only is definitely harsh, but this is a café and their black coffee is awful. Looking forward to improvements!

I liked their hot chocolate! The smell and taste were good. They used chocolate powder instead of the common chocolate syrup that can mess up the taste, and the sweetness was very balanced, not too sweet! However, they didn’t serve it in a mug or a nice cup, just a paper cup, even though I was dining in.

Tatte is just a chain cafe, but there’s really nothing not to like about it! It’s always clean, the service is fast, and the drinks are actually really good! It’s a little overpriced (but that’s just D.C.). So if you’re wondering to stop in for some brunch or pastries then the answer is yes. It’s also not a bad study spot but seating may be limited.

Tatte at city ridge was OK- food and front end have room for improvement.

Was there at 3 pm on Saturday. Not busy- maybe half full. No wait to place order. Ordered 2 chicken noodle soups and a salad. Person taking my order was a bit hurried / not patient. Seemed to be rushing me. For example— During payments , she bypassed tip screen and when I said I was going to provide a gratuity she said “ sorry, I’m the manager and I’m not accustomed to getting tips”.

Weird- I thought the tips were probably shared and also went to the food runners. You’d think a manager would be fighting to get tips for their team. Oh well.

Food arrived in decent amount of time and was at appropriate temps. Food runner was fantastic- friendly and helpful.

Soup looked great- nice presentation, had beans and lots of vegetables. Unfortunately the rest was a disappointment: very little flavor and virtually no seasonings. I don’t like a lot of salt but this soup required heaps of salt, pepper and some hot sauce. It was obvious that the neither the kitchen crew or management were tasting what was coming out of the kitchen. I’m guessing the soup at the adjacent wegmans hot bar would have been far better. Salad was fine.

Basically- I would not go back to Tatte at city ridge unless there were absolutely no other alternative.

I had breakfast and lunch several times and I really like it because they have variety of options, service is very quick which is important as I am in a business trip the the location was very convenient next to my office. Some dishes, that are from middle east! Kebab, humus and baba ghanoug are not coherent in taste., they can improve

I had the lamb hash with gluten-free bread and it was absolutely delicious! Friendly service and it was very easy to make substitutions.

Listen! Everyone knows they make one of a kind baked goods.
The service though is weird. The manager followed us outside and watched us suspiciously. And we were just taking pictures.
We have been here before and we actually love their coffee and bakery.

It was the most disgusting dinner I have ever had. The salmon was overcooked and had too much garlic added. They mixed rice grains with mint and zucchini and served it as “rice”.
Even though they saw that we were not eating the food, they did not bother to ask why.
I definitely do not recommend this place
