I also had lunch and at their cafe in downtown Boston.
Highly recommend these cafes.
Very disappointed
I’ve been to Tate Bakery twice at this location, and both times I left extremely disappointed. I’ve visited other Tate Bakery locations and never had such a poor experience.
The first time, about a week ago, I bought a pastry and a latte. The pastry was clearly not fresh it was stale and the croissant had no crispness at all. I ended up throwing it away as soon as I got home. I was very frustrated.
Today, I decided to give it another try and ordered food and a latte again. The coffee was overfilled, way too hot, and poorly made. The lid popped off on its own, and I burned my hand. The coffee spilled on my dress and there were no napkins provided. I not only paid a premium price, but I also left with ruined clothes and a bad taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively.
This kind of service is unacceptable. I tried calling, but no one picks up. I’m paying for a premium experience and receiving terrible service. I will never come back to this location again.
P.S I need to clean my car also
I just arrived home and opened my food and I just in shock! Look at the picture, please. Am I a cow? It’s not tasty ended to move to trash ️
Great place, awesome food (best cortado with oat milk ), very friendly personnel!!! Love the plants and flowers and twigs used for decoration. Come and check their special seasonal menu or come for dinner – they are open till 9:00!
Belmont is happy to finally have a decent cafe However this location has very bad seating and zoning.
The whole space is taken by the counter. The seating is all around it along the walls, that have columns and niches limiting the space. Bulky couches eat even more of the space. Why not make more space by putting chairs instead? So that people can move them to their comfort?
One zone (e.x. a table put in a niche) overlaps another (see the picture). The zone with high chairs is squeezed between the kitchen and the counter, right in the middle of food smells and non-stop fuss of the personnel.
Good new is that they finally started letting people sit in the area by the window
Though the overall space is much bigger than that of Tatte in Charles Street, Boston, you will not see Tatte’s famous wooden table with flowers here because of bad zoning.
The personnel is very nice, the atmosphere is cheerful. I recommend this place to anyone. Let’s hope they will figure out how to improve the seating soon
