Tatsuda Omakase, a new Hell’s Kitchen eatery opened in August 2023, offers a 16-course dinner and 13-course lunch omakase experience. Diners can expect seasonal ingredients and artistic preparations by a skilled chef, all served in a modern, minimalist setting.

Absolutely incredible experience! We came for the lunch omakase and everything was truly phenomenal. Loved the atmosphere, how intimate the setting was, and the service was wonderful. Chef Andy made us 13 courses of some of the best fish I’ve had to date. Strongly strongly recommend! Also, the sake flight was well-worth it.

What an experience! I was in NY for a work trip and always wanted to try Omakase, especially before I had a show to go to later that night. I figured this was the perfect opportunity! I did a lot of research online like Yelp, Resy, Google, and TikTok. This place came up highly recommended, as well as affordable, for a 16 course dinner starting at $90 per person (it goes beyond 90 if you order more pieces toward the end). The environment was so cute, the staff and chefs were very hospitable, engaging, and kind, and I am still thinking about the food. Definitely a great place to go to for a cozy and intimate vibe! There were 3 chefs that night and I had the pleasure of having Chef Rio, who was very skillful and engaged in conversation as well! He took the time to explain each piece and the cut. They also accommodate with dietary restrictions and allergies. I did indulge in some safe, which they have an extensive selection. I cannot stress enough how everyone should try this place. Make sure to make a reservation!!

Fantastic and high quality fish, an awesome chef who helped us take as many pictures as we wanted and extremely friendly staff. We were seated in the more intimate room on the right and it was fantastic. We were celebrating my birthday so they brought out sake for everyone in the room and I got a slice of birthday cake and they sung. I have dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating.

I came here for a birthday dinner and we had a great time. Located in Hell’s Kitchen, this omakase spot is $90pp and 16-courses. Service here is steady and doesn’t feel rushed, but they definitely do stick to their 75 minutes.
We got a variety of your expected sashimi, such as their amberjack, red snapper, salmon, and scallop. Everything was fresh and delicious. I loved their monkfish liver more than I expected (I normally don’t like it). And, they ended their course with a cheesecake that was delightful. As we went for a birthday dinner, they also brought out cake and sang, which was super fun. Truly enjoyed my time here and my friends said they would come back!

I have been to many omakases. Tatsuda is my absolute favorite in NYC. Truly the freshest fish and every piece is delicious. Tatsuda is the kind of spot you almost don’t want to share. Intimate, minimal, and quietly confident – every piece feels intentional. The fish is unbelievably fresh, the rice perfectly warm, and the pacing makes you slow down and actually taste everything.
The chef has this calm precision – each course builds beautifully, like a story. The uni melts like butter, the otoro is unreal, and the sake pairing (try the Dassai 39) ties it all together.
It’s not flashy or overdone — just pure, understated excellence. The kind of omakase you leave already planning your next visit.

What can I say. I was completely blown away by the 75 minute dinner experience. What made the night truly special was Chef Danny, who apparently was is “second day” (AKA 16 years of experience). I have Celiacs and he went above and beyond ensuring that he was using gluten free soy sauce and ensuring dishes marinated in soy sauce were not provided to me and he would make me something different than my partner. Overall, such an amazing experience and will be back soon! Definitely ask for Chef Danny!!!

My son took the entire family here at Tatsuda to celebrate the new year and we were so excited to try a different restaurant for their omakase. Well, we were disappointed with the quality of the omakase. Nigiri was simple, low-quality, portions of the fish is small and tasteless, presentation was sloppy, service was slow and inattentive considering there was only 9 of us for the flight and price was high. We ordered cocktail drinks and I don’t think there was any alcohol. There were absolutely no connections between the chef and us. The nigiri was just sliced, served and we ate. Tatsuda is high prices for mediocre food if that’s what you preferred. The worst part was I experienced food poisoning from the bad fishes all night long.

What an incredible experience. First timer at Omakase so I didn’t know what to expect (or how to act tbh lol) the staff was INCREDIBLE, informative and kind and passionate. They really made you feel like family. Gordon & Rio were just the best. I can’t recommend this place enough.
