We read that Taters had great homemade cheeseburgers and they did not disappoint. There were a few tables occupied when we entered and we were promptly greeted and asked what we wanted to drink. We dithered a bit on what to order as the lunch special, red beans and rice, sounded good. But since we were here due to cheeseburgers it was cheeseburgers for us. Mine was the usual plain cheeseburger while the wife had specifics on how she wanted hers. I don’t recall what they are no is it important really. The important thing is we both enjoyed our burgers, they were certainly not store-bought frozen patties, and the french fries tasted fresh as well.

After eating here several times, I think the plate Lunch options are better later in the week. Their prices have slightly increased on the plate Lunches also. It’s nice to see they have a local following. Parking has gotten Slightly better Since the DPS ( Driver’s License office) is now by Appt only.

Keto burger with side salad $14.50. And unsweetened tea. Was very tasty. My friend got jalapeño burger, w/ fries w/ sweet tea $14.50. Definitely will be back. Good food.

My wife and I stopped in on our way home for New Orleans and were absolutely DELIGHTED with Tater’s Cafe. Burgers are mixed daily and you can tell. Beef was well seasoned and cooked. The bacon is thick cut, and cooked to perfection. The shining star was the service. Our server was absolutely lovely. We will definitely make our way back in the future.

They lost my ticket.. called 30 mins ahead…. nobody in here so how did they manage to do that… Then customer service stinks. I had to reorder my food plus late from lunch!!!!!

My coworker ordered a burger today and got back to work and open her bag and it was a piece of chewing gum on the side of the burger and so she called and the lady was sweet over the phone but when she took it back to get something else she was treated horribly, the owner was rude and disrespectful and threw her money at my coworker and told her to never return to her restaurant as if she was considering returning, when they were obviously in the wrong. When things like this happen you supposed to take responsibility for your actions and do the right thing and replace her food or hand her money back politely. I’d never recommend this place or eat there!!!

Tater’s was a perfect little find on a road trip. The food is nostalgic home cooking you can tell us made with love. The staff was beyond lovely. I look forward to adding Summit on my road trip map and this spot for food!
