All of the food is savory and tasteful, the broth taste can vary from herbal to spicy, and a nice array of appetizers. They seem to have limited edition foods (popcorn chicken), and a point system to order food if you come more frequently.
I got the Sizzling Wagyu plate, and onion scallions. All 6 of us enjoyed our plate. You do need to ask for more napkins.
The ordering system is online, and all under one table. There isn’t much need for human interaction.
I ordered a Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup (mild) with vermicelli, the flavor is really good and authentic; portion size was large.
My friend ordered Beef Hot Soup with rice, and she liked it as well.
The sweet ice green tea is very refreshing. I do wish there’s a less sugar or no sugar option though.
Overall, highly recommended if you want some delicious and fulfilling food that is affordable in an open and inviting atmosphere restaurant.
My food was never delivered. When I contacted your staff to ask about the order, the interaction was rude and unhelpful. I was redirected to Uber for support, despite the fact that I did not place the order through Uber.
This experience was extremely disappointing and reflects poorly on your business practices.
And you disconnected call when I asked for tge # to uberbeats
Tasty Pot has landed in downtown Palo Alto near University Avenue and next to Burma Ruby
There’s a dedicated parking lot across and the new space is clean with plentiful tables
They’re open daily and their weekend hours start at 11:30. We stopped for a weekend lunch
Having been to Tasty Pot before, I was familiar with the individual hot pot choices but also happy to see more appetizers and noodle options for those seeking more variety
They’re newly opened so had a promotion of a free drink with each hot pot
The hot pot come out individually and are pre-cooked but come to a full boil at table side. Portions are generous with some sharing one pot while others add on extra noodle or meat toppings if they’re hungry. Each hot pot comes with either rice or vermicelli
I almost always get the Thai flavor and instant noodles and it reminds me of Mama Noodles but with beef sliced, beef balls, shrimp, a mini crab and vegetables. Seems to always hit the spot especially with the table side sauces. Welcome to Palo Alto, Tasty Pot!
