Food was decent, good value I guess. I got the herbal pot and enjoyed it but felt really bloated afterwards.

I recently tried the Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup at Tasty Pot in Daly City, and overall, the experience was decent. The soup contained a variety of ingredients, including napa, beef slices, fish fillet, clam, aorta, imitation crabmeat, tempura, fishball, beef ball, zucchini, enoki mushroom, black mushroom, potato slices, frozen tofu, fried tofu puff, fried tofu skin, potato, noodle, and scallion.

Their little pre-assembled hot pots are OK. It looks nothing like their marketing photos though. I had the #12, seafood hot pot $22 and added meatballs $4. I kept the default setting when ordering on the QR coded website, which was no spicy and pork soup. The food tasted fine. The side of meatballs were still frozen inside and I had to leave it in the hot soup for a while. After a few bites, I should have ordered it with some spice. They only have hot sauce and soy sauce as condiments at the table. I asked the waiter for some hoisin sauce for the seafood but they don’t have it. I also asked for maybe some peanut sauce or sesame oil or ginger but they also don’t have that either. What?! A hot pot restaurant without sauces. It is kind of ridiculous. Service was fine.

The biggest thing that surprised me how FAST they got out our orders. They have a system that you scan the QR code on thr table and order your food from there. The hotpot itself was really tasty, but they didn’t really give much meat or veggies even if you ordered extra. But if this is your first hotpot experience, it’s not that big of a deal. If you’re used to hot pot you may be a bit disappointed with portion size.

Clean place, staff friendly and helpful. Ordered #4 Curry and it comes over a hot flame that you can adjust.

Wish I could give 0 stars on this review. My family and I will NEVER dine there again. We’ll also tell our friends about this bad experience. My daughter had an allergic reaction to the food. Staff showed NO concern for her as First Responders attended to her health and brought her to the ER! They did not ask how she was doing or if they could help in any way. Rather, staff made her and the rest of the party pay for the bill! Like who cares about that when someone literally can’t breathe! Talk about COLD!!

I live in nearby Westlake and we go shopping here all the time. Around the corner from Walgreens and nearby Banana Island is a small chain restaurant called Tasty Pot. It was a cold day (polar vortex) and this place gets busy quick so we managed to get here a little earlier before the lines got long. They have a menu that you can choose from 12 bowls each varying in size. Sizes 1-7 offer the most bang for your buck at around 14.50 for dinner. After that you get a larger size but definitley pricier at options 8-10 17.50 and 11, 12 for $20 dollars. I think 1-7 is sufficient enough for me, although sometimes I do crave the Seafood Lobster Hot Soup but for that price I can get it better elsewhere. This time I chose the Beef Hot Soup. It comes with napa, beef slices, enoki mushroom, Taro, Corn, Meatball, Kamaboko (white fish cake), Crab meat, clam, and some extra garnish. I picked spice level Medium, and that felt appropriate rating for the spice level. After that you can choose rice or vermicelli in which I picked Rice and I also got there Achatea boba which is much better than the previous boba I had there. Tasty Pot isn’t the highest quality (the soup is definitely too salty) and the ingredients are crazy fresh but it offers a really good meal for the price, and they serve it pretty quickly. I would give it a 3.5 stars but the staff is nice so I’ll up this to 4 stars. My wife got the cheesy milk and I’ll say it’s interesting but she likes the flavor so that’s all that matters 🙂
