Why is the chicken rubbery?.. I threw both shawarmas away after one bite. Looks like real meat but idk anymore with all this lab meat being sold. Rice with hummus was good though.

A wonderful Chicken Shwarma sandwich was my 1st introduction to this restaurant. Then, they prepared a great selection of food that I took to a friend and their family mourning the loss of their 99-year old mother. The family loved the food and truly appreciated how good it was.

Mike Sobh seemed to give his best effort to every order at his restaurant, Tasty Kabob, which serves up authentic Lebanese cuisine at 8207 Middlebelt, south of Joy, in Westland. He came from Lebanon in 1987 brought the authentic food from the homeland. We had a fantastic first experience, so friendly Sonia and I met Mike Jr . Started with delicious bowl of Lentils and outstanding. She Loves Fried Kibbeh with Tahini Sauce for dipping, some of the very best ever Eaten WOWED . I had a fabulous Sujuk Pita Sandwich, it’s double the size as most places. She had 2 mega logs of Lamb Kafta OMG perfection a must try . Sonia brought a sample of Baba Gnoush a real winner made fresh. I had a small Spicy Hummus a fabulous treat . Once seated a bowl of Toum be Garlic Sauce with bread delivered to the table. They have a large following of customers, we’re happy to say a five star experience. Looking forward to another trip next year. Disappointing. Our first time was great, we had good food, service, and music but this time was not good. It took 45 mins to receive our food after ordering while we were the ONLY people there, I guess online orders take priority over sit ins. It was also dead quiet, no music whatsoever. Food was bad, my lamb had cold spots and hard spots, and my partner had dry chicken. Rice pudding was kind of chewy and needed a lot more sugar, store bought is better. My partner got the wrong order too, the waitress doesn’t use a notepad, she was nice though.
Very disappointing, I liked this restaurant and was recommending it to others. All it takes is one bad experience to ruin things. We won’t be returning.

Really good food!
I ordered the hummus with chicken appetizer, and it came with pita and garlic. Very tasty and you could tell the garlic was authentic and not ‘loosened’ to fit American tastebuds.
Will definitely be back to order again; this will probably be my new Mediterranean food spot!

I have ordered carryout twice in the past month. The kibbeh nayeh was yummy and the lamb shank absolutely delicious. Both times they were not ready when I went to pick them up, but well worth the wait.Woman at cash register was very nice . Dining room was empty, but 4 people came for carryout and two phone orders came in while I was waiting.

I have been coming here for a few years. Each time I come I am never let down. It’s always fresh, and tastes perfect. Getting the combo for $34.99 even with 3 people will send you home with enough for everyone to eat again. I love this place.
