I went out with a friend to try some authentic Jamaican food the other day. I ordered the oxtail in advance, and while the flavor was really good, I have to say the portion size was off. I ordered a large oxtail, but when the plate came out, it looked more like a small—lots of rice and peas, but not enough meat. The oxtail itself tasted great, no complaints there, but for $35, it just wasn’t worth it.
My friend ordered the brown stew chicken, and honestly, it didn’t look like the traditional brown stew chicken I’m used to. The color was off—it just wasn’t brown. The kitchen could definitely put a little more care into the presentation and portion sizes.

Maybe it is time to close. I am visiting. And someone called this brown stew chicken! Really? It is not surprising why they have a sign saying the food is non refundable! That should have been a flag.

I ordered oxtails dinner and jerk chicken. When I got how the food was nasty and tasted old. I didn’t get the food. They have a sign saying no refund or exchange because they know they serving old nasty food. Please do not take your business to them. The oxtails is 28 something dollars and the portion was little baby size crazy.

Bless up the chef! This is a small authentic Jamaicans mom & pops shop. They give you that home cooked feeling. Made with love!
I’ve tried most if not all of their menu.
Best Curry chicken and Oxtails, both are delicious and not spicy. Jerk chicken is spicy kick! They’re A bit Pricey but well worth it being for filled with heavy food. Great portions , enough leftovers for a snack later. Try the lunch special if available. Call in your orders as to restrictions prevent dinning.
Great Patties, my favorite is veggie patties. D&G KOLA champagne is always ice cold!
If the prices go any higher, I’ll probably have to cook it myself. Perhaps they did not like the service. I provide details photos of they’re most popular items. Bless up!
Keep in mind Some Ppl don’t have anything nice to say. I actually post the pictures or videos to help the next person have a greater experience.

Let me start that it breaks my heart to give a 1 star to a what appears to be a small local business, however just like everyone else has stated the service was horrible, ( I’m sorry am i bothering you that I want to give you my money?) And the food wow let me tell you I have better food in elementary school lunch line then this crap. The jerk wings where rubbery like they where microwaved and the chicken curry was so dry I seen more moisture in the Sahara desert.. Hey owners if this is your idea of good Jamaican hospitality and food please just close your doors and stay closed..

Combo – jerk chicken/curry goat
I am embarrassed as a Jamaican to say, this is the worst jerk chicken I’ve ever had. People you cant mess up an icon dish that every man, woman and child wants to sample in and outside our country?
From the voices coming out of the kitchen, a yardie a preparing these dishes. People, the chicken was not seasoned. It was coated with browning and soya sauce and thrown in the oven to be baked. That’s not jerk chicken. The rice and peas that were served was spicy. But again, no where near to what the average Jamaican restaurant would serve for that taste of Jamaica. The curry goat was probably the only dish that was acceptable to any average Jamaican who knows their food.
Our country and it’s colors hold such great expectations for visitors and individuals who visit and want to taste our food all over the world. Please live up to the expectations of your colleagues back home and internationally within the kitchen.
Mr Parri Jamaica.

I called in my order for pick up. The person who answered sounded like I had woken him up. When I came to pick up the person who helped me was kind enough but did not seem like he wanted to be there. I ordered a side of jerk wings and the small curry chicken plate. The plate comes with the entree, rice and peas, steamed cabbage and fried plantain. The wings were tender and had a smoky flavor but that sauce they put on it was overpowering and not very good. The curry chicken was tender and throughly cooked but lacked the complex flavor that I have come to expect from Jamaican/Island curry. The rice and peas were just OK, as was the plain rain and cabbage. My total was $23.90. I through the food out.

Being a Jamaican born and grown….. Cooking from age 10. I do not approve this food. The seasoning is wack. The pepper is overbearing. Jamaican food should be tasty not peppery like how you make it seem. You’re supposed to taste the flavor, not be fighting to eat your food. I just wasted my money to be looking like I’m crying.

Good food. The oxtail is the best dish in the house. Big portions so you don’t leave hungry. Meat patty is also good. I need another Jamaican restaurant so I can say whether this is really great or not. I am still inexperienced in Jamaican cuisine. Friendly people.
