Moved here from NYC about 5-6 years ago and have not found our go to Chinese take out place. TastyBox has a more eclectic menu that’s a bit more diverse than your standard Chinese take out menu but that’s not a bad thing. I was surprised to see Taiwanese popcorn chicken on the menu and it was solid!
Also tried the orange chicken, vegetable chow mein, and chicken with stringbeans. They fry the chicken really well and unlike some other options in the area, it’s not more batter than chicken. The batter is light and crispy and you get a really solid portion of protein for the price. The chow mein ate a little bland when it comes to a stirfried egg noodle option but not bad. Chicken with string beans was cooked really well and the string beans weren’t mush.
I also see that they do a ton of specials like Taiwanese yolk buns that they make by hand. I have high hopes for this place and hope the local community can appreciate their unique offerings! It’s definitely more than just the standard take out spot! A really welcomed spot to the southern Maine food scene!

the food was good though the orange fish could’ve been thicker cut, the slices were small and the fish was dry. i ordered a family meal with three additional entrees and we only received the one box of rice for all 8 items. but overall recommend.
