It’s a very simple place to get a simple sandwich or something a little bit more. Concocted or even without any bread and turn it into a type of platter. Whatever you’re looking for they have it here. Roast beef turkey oven roasted smoked swiss cheese provolone white. They got it all here and on. Good half 7 in or 16-in subs.

Until today! I opted for a simple turkey breast with “everything” and he a pepperoni cheese. We opted for a half size, which is still a good 8 inch long and quite the girth… more than enough for a full meal.
Man its good. Its weird right? There’s no secret to their recipe, what you see is what you get, but somehow their subs just taste amazing compared to whatever you try making at home. Maybe its the chewy bread, maybe its the crisp lettuce, maybe its the mayonnaise ratio… but whatever it is, they make them tastee indeed.
Cash is 5% off and its super easy to call in for an order and pickup. Its tiny inside, with a tiny parking lot, but TONS of traffic going in and out. This place is popular for lunch indeed.

I have family who left Edison and when they come to visit they go here and get sandwiches from here every time. We ordered the Italian the tuna the roast beef and a meatball. The tuna does not taste the same to me. I don’t know what the change is or even if there is a change but it’s not as tasty as it was. We probably go there 5-6 times a year. It’s easy and quick. I hope they just get the old tunafish back. The rolls are always fresh. I hope this place stays open for a long time to come. The last 3 times I was there they did not seem as busy as they were in the past.

After visiting several other sub shops in the area as far away as sayerville. I will travel for good food! Tastee is still my absolute favorite! Fresh ingredients, delicious bread with just the right texture, layered in a way that makes sense, simply perfect!

For my wife she thinks this is the best tuna ever. She has traveled much of the world and this country and she still holds tastee’s tuna at number 1. I am a turkey guy or the buffalo chicken. Always outstanding perfect balance of toppings and condiments (sometimes could lay off the mayo haha).
We just moved out of NJ and can’t stop thinking of this place.

One of the best sub shops in this area if not the best. Prices are extremely reasonable and cheap if you visit Jersey Mike’s for subs. The only downsides is the parking lot and the location can make it hard to enter during rush hour.
But the subs are worth it. I usually prefer a #3 and occasionally order the fully loaded #5.
You get a 5% discount on cash payments.
Currently as I write this there is no fine in. Prior to covid it had 4-5 small tables inside.
When I’m in a sub mood I always try to hit this place up!
