My friend and I were riding our bikes from NY to OR and stopped in the local tastee-freez not once, but twice! I fully enjoyed my experience and I know my compadre was equally delighted.

We love The Freez (formerly Tastee Freez)! Their burgers and ice cream are especially yummy and well-made. I have also greatly enjoyed the salads and various sides they offer. The owner is very kind and clearly cares a great deal about this place and the food she makes. Nothing is short of fantastic! We look forward to coming here every year when it opens in the late spring/early summer.

A great place to be! They have the best cottage fries and chocolate shakes. This was a frequent dinner spot after a long day out in the field! Everyone was so kind and the food was great!

There are a lot of good reasons to spend time in Gackle, and this is one of them.. especially if you like fried chicken because it’s TOPS. great munchies and sandwiches and wonderful ice cream treats for a hot day. Family owned and operated and worth a visit.

Definitely the meet up spot in town!
I went to the counter 4 times over a 90 minute visit and each time a different person took my order!
A family feel and very welcoming.

Holy cow! This place has the BEST BURGERS! It is 1 1/2hour from our house but well worth every second of the drive! And the homemade potato salad was amazing!

Chicken was tasty w/crispy exterior, moist interior. Coating is not very thick or flavored so you really taste the chicken. Fries were crinkle cut frozen but fried nicely (crisp, light, tasty). Burgers look pretty normal— they use those bacon disks that seem popular in this region. I didn’t try dessert (I know, what was I thinking) but there’s a ton of options. I’ll probably go back and try a banana split. Hours are variable depending on season. In late August it was Open till 8 pm most evenings. Service was friendly.
