This has become a comfort spot for my girlfriend and I. We stop by at least once a week, the pho is ALWAYS amazing, very consistent on flavor. I like that it’s a small restaurant, it adds a sense of comfort. The staff is always nice and it’s safe to say, we’re creatures of habit because they have memorized our order. If you haven’t been here and you’re looking for a pho spot, do yourself a solid and stop by here.

I recommend the well done beef pho
Fried pork gyoza
Beef short ribs
BBQ Spring Rolls
& their house made chili oil is amazing on anything!

This place is great! I had the Chicken Pho. It was fresh and delicious. Staff is very friendly. Definitely going to try some other dishes as well.

Great down to earth place for Vietnamese cuisine with crowd and fast service. The Vietnamese sandwich with pork is definitely better than the one with chicken. Hard to beat the price and taste food. Will try to be back trying other things on the menu☺️

The pho among other things here is excellent. Every dish my friends and I had were great and the prices are great as well.

I had the chicken pho which was excellent, but I also sampled my friends Saigon special and that was also very good. I’ll be coming back at some point the Saigon special for myself.

The bona was decent, and my only complaint is that the straws are just a little bit too small. The more firm boba would sometimes get stuck in the straw, but it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Overall, I would highly recommend Taste (the restaurant) to anyone.

Overall Score: 2.8/10 – A disappointing experience with a lackluster atmosphere and several issues with the food, making it an underwhelming visit overall.

Atmosphere and Service: 4.5/10 – The restaurant was clean but dimly lit, giving it a somewhat uninviting feel. The overall vibe felt more like a place to eat quickly and leave rather than a welcoming dining experience. It wasn’t busy, yet the energy in the restaurant still felt lacking.

Pho: 3.9/10 – A major letdown. The broth was bland and seemed watered down, missing the depth of flavor expected in a well-made pho.

Fresh Rolls: 4.0/10 – Served with sweet sauce instead of the peanut sauce listed on the menu. This substitution affected the overall flavor balance and took away from the traditional experience.

Gyoza: 4.3/10 – The gyoza itself was fine, but it was missing soy sauce, which should have been included for dipping.

Pork Plate: 4.1/10 – The dish was missing the egg, which was supposed to be included. The missing components made the plate feel incomplete, and it seemed like the staff may have assumed the details wouldn’t be noticed.

Taste has forever served delicious Vegetarian Pho, Vietnamese curry, Vermicelli and Tofu fried rice.

BUT they are pretty stringent when it comes to their billing structure.

Re: My boyfriend ordered tea;
NOTE: One teapot with a tiny cup per person.

The Jasmine tea smelled amazing so I just asked for an extra cup and so did another friend.

AND guess what? We were charged for 3 teas.

WHY? Because we asked for extra cups.
They didn’t add extra tea to the teapot nor did she say that they would charge us for it.

ALSO, I had said that the tea smelled nice and wanted an extra cup to try it. She acknowledged. But did not tell us even then!

Wonder if they’d charge extra if you order one dish and ask for an extra plate?!… /shrug

They need to work on their customer service and interactions.

This was one of my favorite places to go to for lunch but their service is just absurd now.

Anyway,
You are here for your own food? Yes. Go ahead.
You want to share? Be prepared to deal with any weird situations 🙂

The staff are pleasant, and the service is very straightforward. They have quite a few different types of Vietnamese foods, including vegetarian options, but do I think that their pho options are their top sellers.
The broth is made over a day in advance and is fantastic just having it. My goto option is the rare beef pho.

Phö is huge in CA, but I’m still finding my way here in Cary. Tasty (so far) is my fav but caveat..I’ve only tried Phö 919 and No. 1 Phö. The quality of the ingredients is quite astounding, to be honest. And the preparation goes well beyond the modest price you pay. The broths are deep and rich, you’ll want to finish them off! My wife has the rare beef phö, simple but nice. I had their specialty Bun Bo Hui, so chock full of braised beef and pork deliciousness! The basil was amazingly fresh (per peeve of mine) and the rice wrap spring rolls were filled with lettuce and carrots instead of vermicelli/pickled radish and carrots as is customary. It made for a more refreshing wrap. Two thumbs up!

Went here with a friend (my first time going). I got the beef pho with well done beef. It was good but could’ve had more of a rich flavor. I added my friend’s jalapeños to kick it up a notch. The iced coffee was very strong though and I didn’t finish it. Service is great and we went during a not so busy time, so our food arrived quickly. I would like to try some different dishes the next time I visit.

Good eatery place to try Vietnamese food. They have many varieties, ordered for grilled Fish with vermicelli noodles , look like fish was oil fried. However taste was delicious and I enjoyed my lunch along with friend. I may try another time for a different food item.
