Our favorite take out place and we finally dined in for our anniversary!!! What a special treat. The most friendly and professional staff and some of the freshest and best food I have ever had, even better in person than take out! I have not had thai/Vietnamese food this good anywhere else in metro Detroit!

This place is so strange, I have come here plenty of times, I’ve done doordash, and carryout, i have yet to dine but it rlly is beautiful inside. However I don’t think I’ll ever dine in or come again due to the following issues.

They never have anything, they’re always out of stuff. I can name several dishes I am interested in, and they’ll never have it. I ordered 4 grilled chicken bahn mi’s today and a green mango shrimp and squid salad. The dishes are on the pricier side but the bahn mi’s are $9.95 which is pretty standard.

The bahn mi’s are subpar, edible but not great. I will never purchase again, the bread is not toasted i dont even know if it’s the classic toasted viet baguette that it should be in. The grilled chicken in the bahn mi was way too overcooked and leathery. Barely any pickled slaw in the bahn mi.

The salad was incredible. I have gotten salad’s here before and the quantity is great and flavour is top notch. Usually $20 or more and shareable among 2-4 ppl.

Service was attentive from the gentleman but its always a disappointment coming here. They have also had many days where I have gone and found the restaurant closed even on days they are usually open.

Not worth it, stick to madison heights, better viet spots there.

Tried this place on a Saturday night and while it wasn’t very busy the service was very slow because there was only one waitress. They definitely need to hire more help, maybe in the kitchen too. However the food was pretty good. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we ordered 4 different appetizers and for two people that was enough food. Highly recommend the fish cakes. I would eat here again, just not if I was already very hungry.

This little shopping center has almost all the Asian cuisines: Vietnamese, Thai, Korean & Japanese. The first two in one establishment.
The service is great, quick, and professional. The music is quiet so conversations are easy.
Entryway has a lot of potted plants. Looks good but makes entry a bit more difficult especially if you are using crutches, a walker, or a wheelchair.
Seating is a mix of booths & low-top tables.
The number of other patrons who were speaking what I believe was Vietnamese is, to me, a great sign as to the authenticity of the menu.
Speaking of which, the menu is truly expansive and well laid-out with lots of pictures and great descriptions (with a few typos). Thai & Vietnamese dishes are separated.
The Bahn Mi was terrific, as was my Shrimp Paste appetizer.

One extremely notable occurrence ruined it all. This WAS going to be a 5 star review.
As I was using the restroom prior to leaving, one of the cooks came in. After using the facilities, he left WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS!
Are you freaking kidding me?!? He touched my food! That is NOT acceptable.
I guess I will NOT be returning after all.

I had the pork Banh Mi and the pork and shrimp spring rolls. The bread was very fresh and delicious. The Thai iced tea is one of the best I’ve ever had! Very clean, nicely decorated with relaxing music at a very tolerable volume. Prices are very fair for the food quality and quantity.

As a Vietnamese person… I am disappointed. We got our food delivered. We ordered the bun Bo hue – medium size and they put the noodles and broth all into one container. No side vegetables either. It looks like someone’s half eaten order. Also got the com chien Bo Luc lac (shaking beef w/ fried rice), the beef was overcooked and the rice is bland.

Best part was the la lot appetizer

Phenomenal food and service. This is my family’s favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Service is always wonderful and we haven’t had anything from the menu that we didn’t love.

Stopped by for a quick bite, both the food and service were quite good. The grilled pork was on point, perfect marinate and grilled to perfection, as were the noodles, both dry vermicelli and the pho rice noodles. The flavor for the pho broth was a little on the light (blend) side but acceptable. It is definitely a traditional Vietnamese place, worth the visit. They do have some higher end seafood offerings here, such as snow crab and lobster but I can’t speak to the freshness of it since it won’t be ordered often and this place is no where near the ocean.
