Food was excellent! Highly recommend the voodoo roll and the pineapple fried rice. Bring your appetite because they aren’t stingy! We had a party of 6 and were served promptly. Only thing that could use some work is one of the the food runners needs to be told the name of the rolls because we don’t know what they look like lol. But that’s a small thing.

The service here was amazing. Everyone was respectful and the older Asian male who took my order was very accommodating. My daughter and I have a shellfish allergy and I can’t eat raw fish so I had no idea what to order. He recommended some items and I ended up getting the salmon tempura roll and chicken tempura for my daughter. He assured me that the oil would be changed to ensure no cross contamination occurred.

Very very good sashimi and sushi. This location is far superior in service and quality of food than the sub par location in Destrehan. The hostess was super nice unlike the one in Destrehan. We will be back to enjoy another meal there at River Ridge.

It’s a hit n a miss here. Use to be a lot better. I don’t know what happened but they aren’t the shining star they use to be. Food quality shot down along with service. The Taste of Tokyo in Destrehan is always amazing, recommend the drive out there for the best sushi around.

Whoa, not what I expected from reviews! I am a long term sushi fan and purist. Good sushi begins with the correct type of short grain sushi rice, prepared with traditional seasonings in the traditional way. My order of Chirashi came with somewhat dried out “sushi” rice from inexpensive plain white rice. The seasoning was wrong and the fish portioning scanty. I didn’t really get that this was primarily a place for rolls. I had the garlic roll recommended by the waitress which was delicious and generous in spite of the non traditional rice which worked well in the roll. The roll lifted the rating from 1 to 3. ♂️
