Taste of Thailand Cuisine on Dundas Street in Etobicoke is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece! This charming restaurant is a haven for Thai food lovers, offering an authentic and unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance, infused with the scents of lemongrass, basil, and chili, makes you feel like you’ve been whisked away to a bustling Thai market.
The menu is bursting with flavor, and every dish we ordered was perfection. We kicked things off with the golden, crispy vegetable spring rolls, paired with a sweet-spicy chili sauce that was downright addictive. The star of the show was the Pad See Ew – perfectly stir-fried flat rice noodles with tender beef, crisp broccoli, and a savory-sweet soy sauce that hit all the right spots. My friend couldn’t stop raving about the red curry, a creamy, spicy blend of chicken, bamboo shoots, and bell peppers that paired beautifully with their fragrant jasmine rice. For dessert, the mango sticky rice was a heavenly balance of sweet, sticky goodness and fresh, juicy mango.
The service was exceptional – the staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to share their love for Thai cuisine, even suggesting pairings to elevate our meal. The cozy decor, with its vibrant Thai touches, added to the welcoming vibe. Portions are hearty, prices are very reasonable (mains around $15-18), and the quality is unbeatable. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Etobicoke, Taste of Thailand Cuisine on Dundas is a must-visit for a true taste of Thailand. I’m already dreaming of my next meal here! ️

Food and service was really good! We had the Pad See Ew, Pineapple fried rice, and green curry with coconut rice on the side. Atmosphere was calm, server greeted us as we came in, and the food was served timely. The green curry and coconut rice really hit the spot on a cold winter day.

The food (omg), the service, the ambience were perfect!! Loved the Red Thai Curry Noodles, Pad Thai, and the Coconut Shrimp! We went for my mum’s bday. She got this rice dish which was delish as well.

Thank you so much!

Ps. There was automatic 15% gratuity for a party of 9.

One of our favorite Thai spots in the area! We always get their coconut ice cream and Thai tea — both are amazing. Our go-to dishes are the red and green Thai curries, Tom Yum soup, and spring rolls — all consistently delicious. Service is always friendly and efficient. This time, we dined in and found the chicken a bit dry and not as fresh as usual, but that’s a first for us after several good visits and take outs. Still love this place and will definitely be back!

Had the Pad Kee Maow Gai (Basil Noodles) and they were pretty good. Was given a nice shrimp chip snack with a peanut dip to start, which was spiced quite well and tasty.

The Basil Noodles were good. The dish is pretty sweet so you’ll have to be mindful about that, and the noodles were interestingly textured. It was a good meal.

Recommendation would be to get something like the mango salad along with it, or even the crab rangoon to offset the surprising sweetness.

First time tried this west side of place. Parking lot was a bit narrow but it’s okay. Love food, great service. Definitely recommend. Good portion of amount. Better go one more person. Reasonable price and food. Will recommend to my friends;) will come back again for sure!

Delicious hole in the wall Thai restaurant! Within steps to Kipling station. Very nice and quiet with friendly staff. We got coconut soup, red curry and Penang. The soup and curries had lots of authentic flavour. Will come back!

From the outside, it kind of gives the impression of one of those short order Thai places. You know, a bench along the wall with high bar stools, more counter space given for food couriers, that sort of thing.

On the contrary, the inside is absolutely beautiful. The decor is gorgeous! There’s a lot of seating, but there’s more than enough space to walk around without banging into other diners. The decor features stone, tile, richwood, lovely chandeliers, and Thai style artwork

My daughter and I had Tom Yum soup, mango salad, beef with broccoli, and spring rolls. Everything was absolutely delicious and the presentation was simply delightful.

Just a heads up: the portion sizes are more suited for two. After I finished the mango salad, I really had no room for my soup ( but I still gave it the old College try!).

Have you ever had butterfly pea tea iced lemonade? It shows up at the table layered with lemonade on the bottom ice in the middle and a deep blue purple color on top accompanied by a lemon slice. You squeeze in the lemon, Stir It All up, and it turns pink!

Service was professional and courteous.

This is definitely on my go to list

I had the tum yum chicken noodles. Came out hot. Would be nice if it was a creamy Tom yum.

Tasted to bland and watery. Also not spicy enough

Love everything about this place. Lightening fast service, closest to authentic Thai food you could find in city and cherry on top is how I get to live right across the street from them!
