Good spot for authentic and spicy Thai fare – loved the Tom yum soup, the som tam salad, the pork and prawn dumplings, the green curry with vegetables and shrimp, the duck curry with vegetables and the sticky rice (ice creams are skippable). Friendly staff and quick service.

Worst meal out ever! Booked for 7pm and left at 9:20pm having not been given our main course. Was ushered upstairs on arrival and had to find our own seats. Only one waitress upstairs and she was very busy but so unapologetic about the wait. Should have realised we were in it fir the long run when it took 30 mins to get a drink.
Great place to visit if you want to lose weight, although we ended up getting food from the Ashby Grill (which incidentally was spot on). As I left Taste of Thai, the owner said to come back in 2 weeks when the service would be better. That will not be happening. Such a shame as we know the food is great.

We decided to try something different from Chinese or Indian so thought we’d try Thai.
The food was excellent very tasty & hot ( I hate luke warm food ) we didn’t really understand what we were ordering but Tom the waiter had our backs. He knew the menu and was so helpful advising us on the dishes we’d picked. The music could have been alittle more and I would have loved to have alittle tidy up but that’s not affecting the food and service it’s just a personal thing.
Tom ( the waiter) was so obliging he even went and made a coffee that wasn’t even on the menu. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning
And thanks Tom for helping us out you definitely should have a rise £

Reserved a table for my partners birthday, waited an hour and still hadn’t had our food order taken. Asked if we could order, waited a further 15 minutes without having out order taken and walked out. Really disappointed in the service, and spoilt my partners birthday meal.

Had a meal for two last night (12/11/25). Greeted warmly with smiles. Food was superb, not too much, not too little. Chang (Thai) lager is far superior to ALL the UK-brewed stuff. Music was pleasant (usually dismissed by restos). Prices were reasonable. All in all, a splendid birthday night out. Will repeat the exercise, for sure.

Overall a really nice restaurant and very family friendly. As you walk in you feel immersed in the Thai atmosphere with historical paintings and music. The owners are oh so lovely and my family often dine there, they never forget our faces and often serve freebies for the kids and rest of the table with a grateful happy smile. We consider the food there very affordable but delicious for us as we are a larger family. Will never forget the kindness shown to us in this restaurant ❤️
