Delicious food! Definitely will be back if I am in that area! Worth going out of your way for the collards alone! The coleslaw is finely shredded and creamy, never had it like this before but it is so creamy and delicious! The beans were perfectly seasoned, the mac and cheese shells are very creamy and pare perfectly with the meats that are so tender and delicious, I got the Alamo so I could try a little bit of everything (except the chicken). The ribs are fall off the bone tender, the brisket was a little dry but so tender and delicious, the pork sandwich is awesome and you barely have to chew it is so tender, the BBQ sauce tastes homemade and has a nice vinegar tang, not too much but just a little bite. I got extra sides so I could try them all… very impressed with the quality and atmosphere, definitely worth a try for anyone wanting good BBQ!

We tried lots of things and everything was perfect. It only opens on Saturdays but worth the waiting. If you go late you may not find all the meat types and sides. Sides were great as the meats.

We stopped here around 5pm on a Saturday and he was almost sold out of everything. We ordered his last rack of ribs, a pulled pork sandwich, and two coleslaw. The ribs were the most tender, melt off the bone ribs we’ve ever had. And although coleslaw is just a side dish, my husband and I agreed it was the best coleslaw we’ve ever had. We finished all of it. My husband really liked the bbq sauce as well. He’s a bbq guy and he said this is one of the best bbq spots he’s tried in a long time. Definitely check this place out if you get the chance!

We have been around to a few places but this little gem is hard to beat. Brisket , pulled pork just so tender and juicy. Took “The Alamo” to have a taste of everything it was all fantastic. And the view while you enjoy the meal is amazing.

Food was delicious. Ordered 1/2 pound each of pull pork, pork belly and beef brisket. Along with beans, Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend. Could not speak to the atmosphere since we did take out. Place is very clean as per pic.

Outstanding BBQ brisket. I lived in Oklahoma for a while, which is beef country and is known for great BBQ, and this place is right up there with the best of them. I’d say Taste of Texas BBQ tops the list for what I’ve had. So lucky to have this in Vermont.

I drove up to try out the BBQ because it’s hard to find good BBQ around here. To my surprise the owner was taking your order, making your order, and giving you your order. It is a simple operation, one man show, white board menu, but when it comes to this type of food that’s all that is needed. I wanted to buy meat only by the pound and bought the pulled pork and brisket. To go with the meat I got a piece of regular cornbread and a piece of the bacon jalapeno cornbread. Both were ample in size and delicious. All was excellent reheated for dinner. The owner was friendly and composed despite quite a line. I definitely recommend.

Well worth the long line and wait. I had pulled pork tacos, a brisket sandwich and corn bread. Three flour tacos were stuffed with tender succulent shredded pork smothered in sauce and queso fresco with hot salsa on top. Incredible quality and quantity. The brisket sandwich was loaded with authentic Texas beef brisket. I got slices from the point and they were layered with the most perfectly rendered fat and perfectly cooked beef. Cornbread was moist, flavorful and corny. The best barbecue I’ve ever eaten in Vermont, hands down.

Great food and staff! We got a little bit of everything for a Father’s Day surprise and everything was wonderful and the portions generous. All of the meats were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ribs and brisket were so tender and juicy, and both the chicken & pulled pork were also excellent and very tasty. The coleslaw so nice and creamy, tasty beans and the mac and & cheese is almost addictive with a rich creamy cheese sauce riddled with bits of nice smoky bacon. To round things off, the mini pecan pies have a smoky sweetness that is just divine. Fair warning though, if you are planning to take this yummy food home, the aroma that fills your vehicle may make it difficult to arrive at your destination without sneaking a bite or two. Highly recommend.

So good, my dog wouldn’t leave us alone. Check out the photo of her. Ribs are amazing. Highly recommend. Owner, also the cook, was very nice and you can tell he puts his heart into the food he cooks. Clean bathroom is a plus.
