Fantastic first visit. We were greeted warmly as soon as we entered. I went with the pineapple jerk chicken with beans and rice and collard greens. So much flavor!!! I can’t wait to go back and try other menu items

I recently booked them for a repass catering. Ms. O Was extremely friendly and outgoing. The food was off the chains!
We ordered fried chicken, potato salad, mac&cheese, yams, red beans & rice, and collard greens. Not one dish was a miss! I highly recommend this restaurant!

First time there. Took brother and Mother. Food was DELICIOUS. Nice size portions, flavorful, and tender. Service was attentive and friendly. Omg, and we FINALLY got a soul food place with GREAT cornbread. Omg! Moist and slight sweetness. We had Fried Chicken, Baked Turkey Wings, and Swai and Shrimp platters. All delicious. Check them out. Found this place on somebody’s tiktok and I was in the neighborhood.
First off, they take everything except credit card. Zelle, cash app and ofcourse cash but no credit cards. Service was rocky at first because I guess they weren’t expecting sit down service. But after we were seated, service was great and prompt. The food was good. Personally didn’t like the breading on their seafood but not a deal breaker. The sides are RIGHT! Very good mac n cheese, greens and potato salad. Overall. Check it out.

Was searching for an authentic soul food restaurant around my area…came across TOS. Drove 35mins. Entered the restaurant, first thing I noticed is that I wasn’t greeted. Grab’d a menu and sat dwn before ordering two platters. Both fried whittings- one with yams, beans and rice, side of Mac…the other yams and collards and an order of banana pudding. Order took about 15-18mins to fix and total was about $63. Gotta admit, tho it was packaged up and I couldn’t see it…the food came out hot and it smelled amazing! I couldn’t wait to get home so I could dive in! I arrive home and get right to it, and boy was I immediately disappointed. I broke a piece of fish off to taste and instantly could tell it was old and completely dried out…to the point we couldn’t even eat it…nah, u really couldn’t eat it…it was dried out all the way thru. All this fried fish wasted. I was baffled as to how they had it smelling so fresh but even more baffled that this establishment was selling it to its customers knowing that it wasn’t. The collards greens were tasty yet a bit on the salty side…and I like salt. Mac was mediocre. Yams were average, not gonna say they were bad. I don’t run to do reviews, but the fish was absolutely horrible and I want TOS to know it. Had it not been for the long drive and me just being tired from the day…I would have returned it. Was so disappointed, I didn’t even try the banana pudding…and probably won’t.

What else can I say about this place, except it’s AMAZING! The Sweet Potatoes/Candied Yams are to die for! Literally, I had a mouth orgasm every time I took a bite of them, eyes rolling back, the whole 9 yards! This is the place to go! The manager was so nice, too!

i didn’t visit the restaurant… i ordered on door dash. the food was great. each container was sealed, so no tamper worries. the food was great I had the catfish, potato salad, beans and rice, and collard greens.
the only thing i would suggest is just a bit less season, especially the spicy hot seasons. i would order again.
(sry no pics because i ate it too quickly)

When you order food from a family owned restaurant you want it to be with authentic good people right? Well unfortunately I had the worst service experience with the staff , worst people I encountered in my life. The greens were over salted. The fish was dry and tasted like it sat in dishwater before being cooked for me . Mac and cheese was bland and mooshy . Disappointed because Burlington has some great places. This isn’t one.
