Friendly staff greeted us right when we walked in. We were instructed to seat ourselves. I like that because them we get to choose the exact table we wanted.
The food was so good I forgot to take more than one bad photo. We started off with samosas. Hot, crispy, and packed full of flavor.
For our main dishes we chose chicken curry and lamb curry. Of course the chicken curry was good but let me tell you, the lamb is a must! Literally the best lamb I’ve had at any Indian restaurant. Succulent and tender, the curry enhanced the meat and didn’t overpower the flavor at all. I got medium spice. If you like spicy, you’ll want to go up a notch. Medium is flavor, with a kiss of heat.
We also had jasmine rice and garlic naan. Both good. The naan was fresh out of the oven and had the perfect amount of garlic. I love garlic and can eated a head of roasted garlic by itslef, but I appreciate that this didn’t have a lot. You get the taste, but it didn’t overwhelm the other flavors of your food.
If you like Mango, I’d also recommend the Mango Lassi. Very refreshing!
I will absolutely be coming back and implore you to give this locally owned business a shot.
The food was good. I ordered Goat Vindaloo hot, chicken korma medium, aloo golbi medium, garlic naan and white rice. This was plenty of food for two people, but was around $60, including tax before tip. That said, my experience has been that Indian and Pakistani restaurants tend to be on the more expensive side, so relatively this place wasn’t any more or less expensive.
The goat vindaloo was very good, however some pieces of meat were tough, while others were tender. The sauce was thick, savory and spicy, but not so hot it wasn’t enjoyable. Any dish can be ordered mild, medium or hot in terms of spice level. If you’re used to eating spicey food, I suggest ordering everything hot.
The ambience was OK, but the restaurant is dimly lit. They have many different Indian beers in the bottle you can try that come in different sizes, with largest 650ml at $9. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant. I would dine here again, but probably take it go.
Samosa and onion bhaji were good
Gobhi aloo , Kofta not good at all
Never had such horrible chutney . Green as well as tamarind . I mentioned but server started defending by saying others like it
Must try, Highly recommended.
