Absolutely wonderful. This was our second time here. First time we got the beef clay pot rice and really loved the beef but thought the rice was a bit oily (though I know clay pot rice itself does need a lot of oil). This time we passed here on our way back from snowboarding at Tahoe. I got the beef rice noodles and my gosh, the brisket is chewy and the tendon just melts in the mouth, the flavor is just unbeatable in the US. The rice noodles are so light, healthy, and soothing for my stomach for dinner. We also got the pork steamed rice roll and beef congee, both of which are as authentic as possible. 没法形容，只能说对于留子来说吃完真的回国了❤️ I really hope the owner will open a store in the Bay Area!!!

P.s.: the only complaint is that both times, the service is a bit slow, maybe because we don’t speak Cantonese but mandarin, but the food is well worth the wait.

Wanted to try everything on the menu however our stomachs were not up for the challenge. Went in during lunch time and it wasn’t too busy and we were quickly seated. Ordered something from pretty much each section of the menu and each dish had its own unique flavor. The standout for me has to be the green beans and the shrimp pumpkin salted egg dishes. However the other dishes were equally as wonderful. Great environment to dine in and very clean. Also, the waiters there were extremely sweet and welcoming which added on to the overall dining experience. Can’t wait to return to try other dishes off the menu, I’m pretty sure it will taste delicious!

It was late for lunch but being hungry I needed a fix. I tried this place for the first and was pleasantly surprised by excellent food and service. I had the House Chow Mien. Everything about it was great. There was a mix of seafood, pork, chicken and beef. It was really tasty. The portion was huge and it came out quick and hot. So happy to find good Chinese in the hood
I will absolutely be back soon.

Cute and clean place. The rice rolls were great, better if you add eggs. Generous portions. The garlic green beans weren’t that great though. They were not thoroughly deep fried&the it needed more seasoning.

Good menu with a variety of Cantonese style dishes. The noodles rice rolls were good. The clay pot rice was great too. The best item was weirdly the cucumber salad so that was a nice surprise.

I visited the Taste of Original many times after they opened for business less than a year ago. The food is so good! As their name says, “Taste of Original”. Many of their dishes are from the traditional Chinese culture. They have those fishes available and have the original delicious tastes.

The service we received tonight is excellent as it always is. I like their modern dining room design with the white tables. It gave me a very clean feeling. Once again! I enjoyed my dinner tonight!

12/2024 lamb stew was a bit tough, Singapore rice noodles were decent.

Cute restaurant, good food, and friendly service. Recommended. Highly recommend beef cube with mixed mushrooms, scallops with egg white fried rice, shrimp rolls, and Fujian pan-fried noodles. The squid was decent. The Mongolian beef was salty. Porridge was good.

My everyday go to eating place in Sacramento, owner has been in business for 20+yrs, special order, customized events or parties, 80+ seating area, great location next to mall and banks, minutes to William land park and City College. Taste amazing and price is fair, recommended to ALL. Original Chinese Cantonese Tastes.
