We visited Taste of Mumbai around 10:30 PM for a late dinner. The restaurant was pretty empty at that hour. They have a separate bar area with live singing which looked lively, but as we were there specifically for the food, we opted for the main dining area.

The Food:
Availability: We started by ordering the Chicken Lollipop, but they were out of stock.

Schezwan Tandoori Chicken: This was disappointing. It was essentially just standard tandoori chicken dipped in Schezwan sauce rather than being a distinct dish.

Chef’s Specials: We tried the Ginga (Shrimp) and the Chicken Darwari. The shrimp dish was actually quite good! However, the Chicken Darwari was underwhelming—it felt like basic tandoori chicken thrown into a butter chicken gravy. Nothing about it felt “special.”

The Verdict:
I don’t mind paying a premium, but the items should justify the price with better execution. Overall, it’s a solid choice when you have limited options late at night in Seattle, but the flavors didn’t quite live up to the “Chef’s Special” label.

Pro Tip: If you’re looking for a late-night vibe with live music, sit in the bar area!

I had an amazing experience at Taste of Mumbai. From the moment I walked in, the cozy and vibrant ambiance made me feel right at home. The menu is a perfect blend of traditional and modern Indian flavors. Every dish I tried was packed with authentic taste the butter chicken was creamy and rich, the pani puri was tangy and perfectly crunchy, and the biryani was fragrant and full of spices.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. Portions were generous, and everything felt freshly made. I also loved the way they balanced spices bold but never overwhelming. Whether you’re a fan of street food, classic curries, or flavorful vegetarian dishes, Taste of Mumbai has something for everyone.

Definitely a place I’ll be returning to, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in a warm, welcoming setting.

This place is amazing! We had the best service by our waiter, Parag. The food was off the charts excellent. We had the vegetable pakora (one of my favorite appetizers and this is the very best I’ve ever had!), shahi paneer, and chicken biryani. My friend tried their lunch special and got to choose her different sides, she loved all of them.

This is my go to place in West Seattle! The food is delicious and the service is superb. Great menu with something for everyone – tons of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Generous servings and yummy flavor.

This is my third time going! Highly recommend the pani puri, pav bhaji, cheese chicken dosa, and the Chettinad or Mumbai Special Smoked curry. The music they play is bubbly and inviting. Highly recommend dining in! I’ll be back for their upcoming karaoke nights

The food is very expensive. The portion size is very less for the amount charged. Vada pav is cut into 2 small pieces and served for 11.99$. The Mumbai Special Smoked Sauce with paneer was 21.99$ and was not sufficient for 2 people. The food is average in taste and the quantity is very less to be shared between 2 people. The garlic naan was good in taste. The brownie with ice cream had a very hard brownie and was difficult to eat. The bar in the restaurant plays loud music and it gets difficult to talk while dining in the restaurant.

This is my new favorite restaurant! We tried the pani puri, cheese dosa, chettinad curry, Mumbai’s special smoked sauce, and garlic naan. I recommend it all and I’ll be exploring more of the menu next time, this isn’t a place where you can go wrong. Try everything!

Also the staff was SO NICE! They taught us how to eat pani puri, recommended dishes, and made sure we were enjoying our time.

Also the Indian music banged!

Amazing Indian food at this cozy North Admiral spot! We came on the night they had the grand opening of their bar space next door and it was a lot of fun. Good atmosphere. We normally pick up but will definitely dine in more going forward.

Went in on a Saturday night and was seated quickly. The staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered the Mumbai Special, garlic cheese naan, Paneer 65, and a chicken rice dish I do not recall the name of. All of the food was absolutely delicious. The desserts and Laasi were also amazing. I have no idea why this place isn’t absolutely packed on a Saturday, but I’m not complaining.
