I think the food is ok. I wasn’t huge fan of my fish it was just kind of soggy and had very strong lemon taste, my Mac && cheese was kind of dry , && my greens tasted like a bunch of vinegar. (It wasn’t bad tho) my friends && I have gone at different times they have went more than myself and they’ve ordered a lot of different things. They told me what I should order and when so I’m gonna try again one day. The banana pudding cup was super good!……

Was visiting the area for a non training and Google Soul Food and decided to give this place a try.
1. the atmosphere wasn’t inviting or friendly.
2. The window was closed on us right away. You don’t get a good feel of how it looks or food being prepared.
3. Your placing a order at a service window so the person taking your order is elevated, and all I seen was a bear stomach and basketball shorts because the person taking the order didn’t adjust his clothes when he open the window or bend down to make eye contact.
4. The lack of customer service is what really push the review as when the order was finished it was just drop on the outside order counter, no mention of who order it was, no thank you for visiting.
5. The meat was cooked fresh, but the sides of Mac& cheese, and dirty rice had no flavor.

The cornbread n Mac!! GOOD…..2 stars are for the collard greens. They use canned greens!!! Unacceptable!!! Not for a soul food place. Sorry but there are a couple better places in Harrisburg for Soul Food

My husband and I tried this the other day and we both feel the atmosphere wasn’t inviting or friendly. Prices on website differ and are less than in person. Husband handed cash no taxes. I was trying to figure out what to try and ended up with not what I was wanting. Didn’t even ask for cheese fries. Husband liked the fish and my fries. Wings were ok. Burger ok. His sides we both tried didn’t like. It was dark looking in there. The window was closed on us right away. You don’t get a good feel of how it looks or food being prepared. I didn’t even know what my total was until we che me at home. Neither of us were happy with everything especially service and how things were.- my wife and I are now referencing the owner comment that took over a week to address- that ignored things we said. The tinted windows was not what I was referring to, nor shutting a window for bigs etc. It was lack of customer service and seeming to have a well lit area when I looked while ordering my fish and my wife agrees. It was differing prices online Facebook and at window. It was not addressing concerns about not notifying what has pork on it and concerns of allergies. Nor did you recognize to make it right like you did the previous customer. My wife and I won’t be back totally unprofessional period.

My food was delicious….I had the turkey wings, Mac n cheese, yellow rice and cabbage…. And the other dinner was turkey wings, yellow rice with green beans and cabbage… The helpings are generous and the food is seasoned perfectly…. Absolutely delicious….I cannot wait to taste the desserts… This is fresh made food definitely worth the price for home cooking
