From reading other reviews i thought i would give this place a try. From the infections smile from the guy behind the counter, his great suggestions to the food everything about this place was worth a stop in. I got the daily special of the smoked wings naked, with baked beans (no pork) and an old fashion cheeseburger and fries and a good owns strawberry lemonade. While i was waiting for my food numerous customers came in after as well. At that moment i knew i was at the right spot. Order up!! ⬆️. The food looks as good as it taste definitely worth a try if you in the mood for some real food and a BIG O lemonade

During a road trip from Colorado, we passed through KC, and of course, wanted to get some BBQ while in the area. So glad we stopped here! The burnt ends and potato salad were phenomenal! The smoked wings and onion rings were huge and delicious.
The service was just as great as the food. The wonderful and the sweet young man behind the counter told us all about the menu and made is feel at home. Please take the few minutes drive off 435 to check these guys out and support small, excellent, local BBQ.

I’ve never been a fan of bbq, was passing through KC and as KC is known for bbq, we needed to try some! A quick search showed this one was one of the best and conveniently on and off the highway. The gentleman at the counter whom I found out was the owner greeted us as we walked in the door and was very cool to talk to! Restaurant is small, but I would for sure go back here! Thanks for the great food! We got the chopped brisket and I had the burnt ends

Holy Smokes!! (Pun intended) This was some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten! The ribs were, literally, slide out the bone tender and the rub they used was super tasty. The burnt ends were dripping with flavor and the fries were crisp and fresh. The BBQ sauce is classic Kansas City tasty sweet and just the right amount of tang! So good with the burnt ends!! The picture is of the brisket loaded fries. This is a meal in and of itself! I can put down my fair share of food and I struggled to finish! They definitely do not skimp on the portions!! I highly recommend eating here. Thank you so much for an unforgettable meal!!

Always great KC BBQ. Stop here everytime I’m in town for Nascar, at least once a year if not twice. Nice local BBQ place not some chain or fancy wanna be BBQ. Get ready to get saucy.

I liked everything about this place we ored a little bit of everything: half a slab, burnt end sandwich w beans, the daily special—a Philly cheese sandwich w fries, 2meat special w 1 side—sausage & brisket w potato salad, and a side of smoked wings. Portions were amazing, food had good flavor and their house bbq sauce was phenomenal.
We brought an O-lineman w us and everyone shared their food and we even had leftovers which is rare when our group goes for BBQ.
We sat in at ate. they have a few tables so it worked out for our group of 3.
Atmosphere was nice they walked us through the menu and our order, brought out food, and a bottle of sauce, and we munched down not many words outside of how good the food was and “try this”, along w “I’m not sharing this”, “can I get some of that” we had a great time multiple ppl came in and out, ordering and picking up orders it was a fun time and reminded of back home.
Good music playing at reasonable level that allowed multiple conversations amongst all in the room

Amazing place! Only 2 miles from home and we tried it for the 1st time, shame on us!!! Amazing bbq! I would pick that double Cheeseburger over any burger places in the world! I’ve literally been around the world! Was my daughter valentines.

This is definitely at the top of my list for BBQ. We wanted a place close to the interstate as we were just passing through. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. We wanted to share something so we got a brisket Philly and cheese fries, we poured the BBQ sauce over them and the entire meal was amazing. Food came quickly and was affordable. If you find yourself in KC and don’t know where to go, you won’t be disappointed if you try Taste of KC BBQ and Grill.

Had flown into KC and wanted to stop for a BBQ lunch before driving down to AR. Saw great reviews on Google for this place and was not disappointed. Easy parking on the street, inviting exterior, cozy interior, and very warm welcome from the owner and staff. Had a chopped brisket sandwich and fries, and yes, a bit out of whack since I wasn’t in Memphis, some cole slaw on the sandwich. It was delicious! The place was busy the whole time I was there with some folks dining in but mostly lots of pickup orders. It may not be as well known as other KC BBQ options, but highly recommend Taste of KC if you want an authentic neighborhood experience.
