Avoid this place! They have a bizarre policy of requiring your name and phone number just to be seated. Despite the restaurant being half-empty, they tucked us away in a dark, dingy corner. The food was a total disaster: the steak was tough and hard as a rock, and the pasta was obscenely overpriced. It’s a total rip-off—zero value for money. It feels like a scam designed to exploit unsuspecting customers.

It’s good if you don’t mind fast food service. We appreciated being “fitted in” for a last minute reservation. I’m coming from a hospo background so my comments may come across harsh to some just sharing my observations. Overall experience was average. Most of the staff were great when they finally get a chance to give customer attention. Service would have been better if the customer to guests ratio was better managed. It was very busy. Fully booked it seems which is a positive. But, the service quality was lacking quality. Walked in, no acknowledgement from any staff upon entry. Then two staff started shouting at me from behind the bar while I was standing at the “wait to be seated” sign.
Had to approach the bar just to be seated where the staff had to step out from behind the counter anyway to show us to our table. Food presentation was average (not bad), I just found the dishes a bit bland. Was asked if we wanted water on the table but it was never delivered. I had to get one from the bar. Serviette missing from the table, side plates on the table had dust. It’s either no service for what seems a long time when you’re hungry then all of a sudden, three staff would come to the table almost one after another asking for the same things. Drinks order were taken but wasn’t asked if we wanted to order food already which we were ready. One staff member I do commend as she paid more attention to our needs while she delivered our drinks after food was served. Two dishes were not served at the same time. It was more of plonked in front of us then left.
Not bad overall as I said 2 to 2.5 out of 5 I think as an overall experience.

Great food, we went on a Friday night had a steady flow of customers but when driving past on a Saturday the place was packed, definitely better booking on a Saturday night!

$75 for two pizzas. I would not normally give a negative review… However this experience was especially disappointing for the following reasons:
1. For the delivery, which is an uber eats issue, the food was not kept in a thermal bag.. so was quite cold. This can’t be blamed on the restaurant except that it would be good for them to.check.
2. The custom pizza was quite nice. The base was good and you can’t complain on the quantity of toppings… maybe too much topping for a traditional pizza.
3. The Calzone…. was so full of raw garlic, it was ineddible. There is not a single person from 4 people that could eat more than a mouthful.
4. Finally… One desert was ordered… $14. See the photo. It was not a good sticky date, more like fruit cake. You decide the value looking at what arrived.
Overall I think the restraunt may be a better experience where direct feedback can be given… but for $90 of takeaway for two pizzas and one desert, it did not hit the mark. Significantly overpriced for very average food.
I also had a call from the owner as a result of the review. You can’t fault the customer service. I will give it another go.

We have been wanting to try Taste of Italy Armadale for a while, but it’s not within our local spot so we have been putting off. We finally tried it on a busy Friday service and it was absolutely amazing! The meals we had were amazing, even the kid’s meal was delicious and massive. The young wait staff were knowledgeable of the food and very helpful with choosing menu items. The dining set up can be packed, as they can be busy. I suggest having to book beforehand as they can get packed. Food was simple yet glorious. 10/10 will definitely come back.

This is our family’s favourite Italian restaurant, and it never fails to impress. Since we first discovered it a few years ago, they’ve consistently served high-quality food with generous portions.
Our top pick is definitely the spaghetti marinara – hands down the best in town! It’s always packed with a rich, flavourful sauce and hearty pieces of seafood.
Tonight, we tried a special, the pork ribs, on the recommendation of a friendly waiter, and they were cooked to perfection, even earning approval from the picky grandparents and their grandchild!
The dessert selection is second to none, with a variety of cakes that all look so delicious! Tonight, a lovely waitress stopped by to explain each option, helping us make the perfect choice.
The atmosphere is another big plus, with no loud music, spacious seating, and ample parking, making it easy to relax and enjoy. The staff is always attentive and friendly without being pushy.
We feel so lucky to have such a fantastic restaurant nearby. Thank you for the outstanding food and service every time!

Taste of Italy has been my favourite restaurant ever since I came here. We had relatives come over from the Netherlands and when they asked me where we should go for dinner I immediately suggested it! The service is always outstanding. Everyone is super friendly and truly always putting their customers first. Throughout the evening they kept checking up on us to see if we needed anything else.
The food is always magnificent. You definitely get your money’s worth here! The portions are very generous and delicious. They are also happy to give you take away containers if you can’t finish your plate. My grandma bought a pasta which had some extra sauce and when asked if we could have some bread for her to mop it up with they immediately got it for us and asked if we wanted it toasted or as it was.
We even spoke to management at the end of our meal and talked about the family we have in the Netherlands and it was super nice!

It can be substituted for authentic Italian cuisine. Beer is also very delicious/topped. The food at Taste of Italy Armadale has been excellent every single time we’ve visited. Consistently high quality and full of flavour. Today we were running a little late and takeaway had technically closed, but Joe, the head chef, was incredibly accommodating and still allowed us to place an order. That kind of flexibility and service really sets this place apart. Will definitely recommend to everyone we know!
