Absolute Travesty: $30 for Leftovers and Crushed Bones

My experience with the Goat Biriyani from Taste of India was not just disappointing—it was frankly insulting. For a staggering $30, I expected a quality, flavorful, and authentic dish. What I received was a pathetic container of what tasted and looked like reheated leftovers.
The single biggest offense was the complete lack of goat meat. I’m not exaggerating; after digging through the entire container, I found maybe two or three minuscule shreds of what might have once been goat. What I did find were multiple crushed fragments of bone, like they had tossed in the remnants scraped from the bottom of a pot. It was a chore just to eat it without chipping a tooth.

The “biriyani” itself was a greasy, mushy mess. The rice lacked any distinct flavor or aroma, and the spices tasted old and muted. Honestly, it seemed like the chef had simply taken day-old, overcooked rice and mixed it with a spoonful of curry paste and bone fragments.

Paying $30 for this substandard, non-existent goat dish is nothing short of a rip-off. It shows a profound disrespect for the customer and a complete failure in the kitchen. Save your money and your taste buds—avoid the biriyani here at all costs. I feel completely scammed.

Worst food, worst service and its basically a hookah place. Definitely not for families. Their menu is totally overpriced , they add gratuity by default( we family of 4 went). They refused to reduce the spice level for kids. We are never returning there in our lifetime. Please avoid this pathetic restaurant.

I went yesterday and ordered Dal makhni, garlic naan and onion salad. The service was so bad fhat they didnt even serves water. The rates are quite high and food is pathetic. In dal there was no salt and no taste. There was no butter as well. Also in Naan it was like frozen heated on pan. So flat and not fluffy. Its was too bad. The onion salad they charged 2.95$ and it was recommended by them as i asked for green pepper just one. That too they served with black seeds and rotten. Please dont go and it is just waste of hard earned money!!

Do not go if you want to waste your money. I regret did not see other people’s review before I went there. The dishes are over price. Small portions but very expensive. Food is just so so. Not worthy at all. They automatically add gratuity on the bill without notifying.

The service was poor, the server was very cold.
First, got wrong order then had to ask to replace, by the time they got Shashi paneer we ordered, the garlic naan was already cold. Moreover, garlic not was not properly cooked . We ordered aaloo tikki chat too that was also too tangy and zero presentation. The place is too expensive for the quality of food they serve plus took 20 percent gratuity for 2 people with no choice. Don’t recommend anyone to visit and eat. The servers didn’t know about the ingredients, aalloo tikki didn’t taste like it had patatoes. Overall bad experience.

WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE 0/5 (cops got called) We ordered food that came uncooked, like the nan was uncooked and it was doughy. The rice was horrible, it was like left overs and frozen that they recooked. We never ate the nan nor the rice. We showed the waiter and she (she was new) understood us and knew it also wasn’t made right. We send it back. Then went to go pay for what our children did eat (the appetizers chicken tenders and fries, which was also horrible). We went to the pay then the owner that’s rude from the start told us we ate those. Then she called the cops for us complaining, the cop said he couldn’t do anything for bill and to just leave a review, even thought we never ate it.

We visited this place for dinner as a group of three and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered biryani, puri, yogurt, and masala tea.

I have never eaten a biryani like this — the rice was clumpy and had an overpoweringly sour taste, possibly from excessive lemon juice. It also tasted like it had been made days earlier. We never received the yogurt we ordered, and the waiter never returned to check on our table or ask if we needed anything else.

When the bill arrived, it included the yogurt we never received. After we pointed this out, the owner did adjust the bill, but a gratuity fee had already been included — despite the poor service.

Overall, the food was barely edible and the service was extremely poor. I would never go to this place ever.
