The food was okay. We didn’t think it was authentic. The Hong Kong roast pork and the clam stir fried in black bean sauce were hard and chewy. The wonton mien broth was bland. The wonton could be better. The noodle was cooked well. The clam dish was overpriced and not fresh. A third of the dish were just empty shells. Ong choy in garlic sauce tasted the best and that was still pretty mediocre in our opinion. Would go somewhere else for more authentic taste. On the bright side the service was good. We just didn’t think the food meet our taste buds.

We were a group and ordered the #9 special preset menu for 10 people. It started with the delicious Scallop with Egg soup that is served at most Chinese restaurants in Hawaii. Followed by Fried Rice, Walnut Shrimp, Crispy Chicken Fried Noodle, Crispy Duck Skin in Bun, Roasted Duck Meat, Ginger Onion Steamed Fish, Chinese Fried Chicken, and Stir-fried Vegtables. It was all very good and tasty. A slightly different maybe better than the typical Hawaii Cantonese Chinese food I usually eat. Is that the Hong Kong variation? Excellent fast courteous service. Felt like the multi-course Chinese dinners served at Wedding Receptions 45 years ago.

When the food got here, I went numb, the size for price is remarkable. The food is delicious and most delectable. The service is unmatched. Stomach, more than full. Good price, big surprise, great flavor. Definitely the spot.
P.S. Recommend bringing friends

The food we ordered for dinner was not worth $50. The orange chicken was way too citrusy and tasted slimy. The sauce was red and looked like sugary syrup. The egg blossom soup was disgusting. It lacked flavor and authenticity. The service was okay until we were asked to tip. The cashier hunted us down because we didn’t tip a big enough tip and said it was required to tip the service team. This place just left a bad after taste and to which we woke up this morning to an upset stomach so i’m not sure if they even prepared the food properly. I’ve never been to a business before that hunted you down and demanded a larger tip. Tips are given, not required. Please avoid this place and their nasty mannerism to costumers.

Gave two stars because the cashier was super sweet and food presentation looked great! I was craving noodles and orange chicken and wanted to take a chance with a smaller restaurant as opposed to going to Panda Express. The portion and presentation looked great for the price. I wish I listened to the other ratings as the noodle in fact were flavorless and tasted like wet spaghetti noodles in water. The orange chicken did not taste like orange at all. It was more of a sugar sauce. The chicken quality is also questionable after biting into it. I really wanted to enjoy this but the majority of it did not get eaten. I can’t speak on other food items but I don’t believe I’ll go back to try….

Amazing garlic steak & egg rolls but the orange chicken was lacking flavor I had to use left over sweet & sour sauce from the egg rolls to enjoy it. The chow mein had a sauce that kept it from drying out which was nice & the fried rice was pretty good.

Taste of Hong Kong brings an authentic Cantonese dining experience with excellent flavors and quality ingredients. The menu offers a great selection of classic Hong Kong-style dishes, from dim sum to roasted meats and seafood specialties. The portions are generous, and the flavors are spot-on. Service is quick and efficient, even during busy hours. Whether dining in or taking out, it’s always a satisfying meal. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Hong Kong cuisine!
