Holy Smokes! Awesome restaurant! The food was fantastic, I got the Pulled Pork Sandwich and side fries. It was honestly one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I’ve ever had! Beyond that, the food was MASSIVE for the cost, definitely fairly priced. My friend got the cheeseburger quesadilla and he loved it! Besides the food, the service was excellent. The lady at the register was very friendly and welcoming! Throughout our stay she made sure we had everything we needed and then some. This is a fantastic little shop on cranberry highway, I can’t wait to go back and try something else! I also want to make a note that it’s not just a barbecue restaurant, but there’s actually Ice cream there too!

I just finished the chicken and ribs dinner from here… wow!!! So great! Tiny little place, (be careful you don’t drive by it) woman who took my order was very friendly. Ribs were excellent! Hot BBQ sauce delicious, fried chicken is LEGIT! For my sides I had baked beans and Mac and cheese….. both super good, my only criticism was the Mac and cheese was cold by the time I got home..(5 min drive) easily fixed but a couple spins in the microwave and very very delicious! This was my first trip in, I will be a very regular customer going forward! OH! The cornbread as with every thing else was really great! I hope this place stays in business for a very long time to come!

I just wanted to take a moment to post an update.**** I am changing my 4 Star to a 5 Star, Yes I am taking a moment to change it for that extra star. The owner took a moment to acknowledge my review, and if that is not awesome management, I do not know what is. It’s funny I actually just got yelled at from my husband for giving this place a four star and not a five, because he met the manager, and he said he was very attentive, was very friendly, felt very welcomed, and he just really appreciated how the owner was still going out of his way to make it up for not having potato salad to bring home to the crazy wife” I get cranky when I’m hungry what can I say. My belly wants what it wants, I can’t control her when she is on one of her rampages!
OLD REVIEW:
Not too bad, first time trying today. Few things I didn’t like my husband wanted ribs but they only had the left over last of it I guess so the piece he got was more fat than meat. The guy told him he could wait an hour and he would make more. Obviously no one wants to do that. I wanted potato salad they didn’t even have that. My husband said the guy was nice and gave him a few coupons because of the situation, which was nice. Food was good, portions were good. Not sure if I’ll go back because they are a half hour away. So I wouldn’t want to risk it again. Like if I’m driving that far I want what I want. It was hours before they closed and we’re out of ribs and potato salad? If you like closer give it a shot. I just live to far to go there again.

Anybody who comes across the taste of heaven I suggest you venture over there. It’s a small place with only 2 tables but it’s legit. More of a take home spot. Pulled pork sub is the real deal and my go-to is the chicken dinner. The sides are awesome and the owners are nice people to rally behind. Check it out

Awesome place. So friendly and chatty I spent an hour there! They play great soul music, serve all the soul food essentials and were overall friendly and inviting people! They offer pick up if you’re in a rush. Definitely coming back soon!!

I was in the area visiting a friend and we happened to notice their “bbq” sign. It’s the best little place I’ve been to in years.
Awesome staff, southern backyard feel, lots of sauce! They had picnic tables as tables which I loved.
The cheeseburger quesadilla was to die for (hamburger, cheese, bbq sause, and I ordered mine with their spicy pickles) it sounds simple but it was so flavorful. Mac and cheese was excellent. Quality onion rings. I will be returning as soon as I get the chance. I highly recommend this place!

By far the best BBQ I have had. It’s been a very long time since I have had true BBQ. The brisket is out of the world and the ribs OMFG. The people that work there are very friendly.i will be going back for MORE! Thank you for bringing a piece of the south up north.
