We moved to the area over 2 years ago and have been trying to find a Chinese restaurant that we like. I thought we had tried them all when my husband stumbled across Taste of China while running an errand. When you walk in to order, they start cooking your food then so it is fresh!! My favorite dish is spicy garlic shrimp and I rarely find someone who makes it to my liking but they do! My husband has ordered multiple dishes and they have all been really good! Highly recommend!!

I was greeted professionally when I arrived to pay for my order. My food was packaged like other higher end restaurants, the food was packaged so well, that nothing spilled on the way home. The food tasted unbelievably good and fresh. Keep up the great work new management!

Taste of China is a Chinese restaurant that specializes in carry-out food. It’s located in the Price Chopper shopping center along highway 58. I have been there twice and found the food to be reliably average.
The facilities are clean and easily accessed and appear to be handicap accessible. The food comes packaged in either a 2-piece plastic container with a clear top or the universally recognized Chinese take-out box with a metal handle.
We tried the Shrimp Lo Mein, Beef Chow Mein, and the Hunan Triple. My 11-year-old loves noodles and tried to claim the Shrimp Lo Mein all for himself. I found it to middle of the road and enjoyable.
The Hunan Triple was my favorite of the three entrees. The Beef Chow Mein was my least favorite of all.

Hands down the best Chinese I’ve tried from raymore to Overland Park.
They make all of their sauces in the house. The fried rice is delicious. The eggrolls and crab Rangoon are fire. They have a special sauce that they make for the Rangoon‘s. I highly recommend getting.!

I love the new dishes on the menu! Their vegetarian options, especially the General Tso’s tofu, are absolutely delicious. The customer service is excellent; the staff is attentive, friendly, and quick to respond.

Taste of China is our favorite, since 2009! They have great quality food, nice variety, generous servings, reasonable prices, and friendly smiles. Whether carry out, delivery (door dash) or eat in, you can count on a wonderful meal!

I tried Taste of China for the first time since they’ve been under new management. Sadly, the food isn’t even close to what was offered previously. The previous recipe of crab rangoon was so good. The current crab rangoon is just OK. The vegetable mei fun didn’t have any flavor and the eggs were burnt. The beef in the beef and broccoli tastes off. I don’t think it’s bad. I think it’s just poor quality. I won’t be going back.

Under new owners and you can tell in the quality of the food. Unfortunately, not in a good way. The egg roll was mushy inside, the noodles were stuck together, and the sauce on the chicken wasn’t nearly as thick and satisfying. The sweet and sour sauce isn’t as good as well. They charged over $2.00 to replace the fried rice with noodles in my combination plate. They were polite, but I miss the old food that really hit the spot when you wanted Chinese take out.

Since they have been under new management, their food has been pretty lacking… We’ve tried to give this place a few chances, but their Honey chicken doesn’t taste remotely like anything HONEY anymore. Their crab Rangoon doesn’t have any crab-like filling just tastes like straight cream cheese / sour cream. Their dumplings don’t taste homemade anymore, they are now frozen tiny store bought… we don’t recommend coming here anymore. Sorry.
