Taste of Belgium is a modern Belgian brasserie that fuses Belgian and American cuisines with locally sourced ingredients for both brunch and dinner. Taste of Belgium offers a carefully curated beer list featuring an unequaled selection of Belgian brews and craft cocktails to enhance every meal. In 2023, Jean-François Flechet, our founder, was honored with a knighthood by the prestigious Knighthood of the Brewer’s Paddle, recognizing his dedication to Belgian brewing traditions. Our journey began in 2007 at Cincinnati’s historic Findlay Market, where Jean-François introduced a traditional Liège-style waffle recipe to Cincinnati. Taste of Belgium operates two full service restaurants, one at the Banks and one at Rookwood Exchange.

We had a great experience trying Taste of Belgium for the first time! Atmosphere, service, and food were phenomenal. Everyone that works there looks like they should be on the runway! And the food was divine. We got the caramel apple waffle, biscuits, a savory crepe (which I thought was just okay, next time I’ll order it with extra filling), and my boyfriend got a big breakfast hash I think topped with eggs.

Our server Morgan was fantastic and she was so kind and considerate even when he accidentally had her going back to the kitchen multiple times, the food was great and was quick to come out even while it was busy. The seats were comfortable and you felt so comfortable and full! The whole thing nearly put me to sleep it was so good!!

I love this Taste of Belgium location! My family members are long time ToB lovers and have been to a lot of locations, and this one is always great!
Our server last night was so kind, friendly, patient, and funny. She also had some great recommendations when I was asking her thoughts on what to order. Additionally, it wasn’t too crowded, so she seated us at an extra big table just because the decor in that area was pretty! She was awesome!
I had the Mussels Gratin with my dad! I personally thought they were a bit overrated, but not bad at all! However, my dinner of the Brussel Sprouts and Macaroni and Cheese was AMAZING. The brussel sprouts were without a doubt my favorite brussel sprouts I’ve ever eaten. I’ve had the ToB Macaroni and Cheese quite a few times, but it is always my favorite macaroni and cheese I get anywhere. It is creamy, flavorful, and even has a little kick. And, of course, the Chicken and Waffles are always amazing and perfect. My sister got the Belgian Cheese Fondue Bites, and those were DELICIOUS.
The atmosphere, especially at this time of year, is so cozy and unique. It feels sort of like a garage, but it is still nice with cool decor.

Was underwhelmed with the burger. No fries with it. Very small for $18. I could have made better myself. Fries were not flavorful. My wife’s chicken sandwich was also underwhelming. Tastes like a McChicken, in fact I think McChicken is better. And cheaper. Kids meals ironically had more food than the entrees. Service was good.

I went with two other people out for breakfast and we all shared our dishes. Everything was amazing! We were at a different location last year and loved it so much that we had to come back. I ordered a strawberry basil mimosa, which was good, but didn’t really have any basil flavor. We got the goetta hash, chicken and waffles, and the waffle flight. All the food was delicious! I just absolutely love their waffles so much. It’s unlike any waffle I’ve ever had! The staff was great and the food came out quickly. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area!

Can’t decide between breakfast food or lunch? This is your spot! I visited during the Cincinnati Reds opener and it was pretty slow, thankfully. The food and service were good. The atmosphere was even better with the contemporary decor and music selection. Pictured are the kids chicken fingers, frites and Belgian burger.

Picked up food and was so disappointed to find when I opened the bag that the gravy was complete liquid and had no lid on it so it spilled all over all of my other food. Everything was saturated in gravy and I had none left to use with my biscuit. We also received no syrup/hot sauce with our 2 orders of chicken and waffles which in my opinion is what makes the meal good. I was back in Cincinnati visiting and went out of my way to pick up breakfast here since we don’t have it in Dayton anymore but I unfortunately will not be doing that again.

Had the mimosa flight and the the waffle flight. Absolutely amazing and they were so charming and very quick. Clean and warm wonderful food and the desserts looked Devine. I was to full to get one though. Will be back to try more of the menu. Very interesting steak and egg I have my eye on. Has a chimichuri sauce that looked very good.

We got the beer cheese, brussel sprouts, Belgian burger, flight of waffles, steak frites, the bolo spaghetti dish, and fish and fries. Our burger was cold/dry. Waffles were dry and disappointing. My mom had to add salt to her pasta to give it flavor. The fries, for which I paid extra as a side, were some of the worst fries I’ve ever had. The food took longer than expected to arrive. Had to ask for cutlery as there was none on the table. Had to ask for a water refill. The restaurant itself was cold; we were seated next to one of those clear garage-type doors that open during the summer. We didn’t take our winter coats off. One positive thing is that our waitress was kind/okay. All in all, pretty horrible dining out experience—I can’t believe we did research/tried to look at reviews and still somehow landed on this place. Would not recommend at all. 0/10 stars
