Taste of Belgium is a restaurant group of Belgian-inspired eateries. We take traditional Belgian recipes and we twist them; we take American classics and we Belgianize them. We believe elegant cuisine can be served with a down-to-earth attitude and humble foods can be served elegantly. We take the food we create and the service we provide very seriously, but not ourselves. Waffles, Chicken, Beer. Eat Like a Belgian, Drink Like a Belgian, Live Like a Belgian!

We started off with Drop off Sunshine and Summer Vibes. Both were delicious and made perfectly. I also decided to try the Belgium Mule, why not, right It wasn’t bad but I like Vodka or Bourbon in my mule drinks. Pablo being in training did an amazing job mixing these drinks.
We also got appetizers, Mussels Gratin. They were pretty tasteless. Basically mussels and bread crumbs. I really had wanted to try mussels provencale or pesto cream but that is only on the dinner menu. We also got their beer cheese and pretzel. I love a good beer cheese and I have to try it whenever a place has it in the menu. This beer cheese is not quite like the others. It’s sweet and not as much of a beer taste that I enjoy from other establishments. The pretzels were awesome.
Our main course we had the Farm Egg Omelete with Frites and Waffles Benedict. My partner said the Omelete was great. I did enjoy the Waffles Benedict but it wasn’t as amazing as I had hoped, for the price.
The restaurant was clean. Service amazing. But due to the price and so so food we aren’t sure we would come back. We would stop in for a drink at the bar before heading to another restaurant
Frank was a great server! He was kind and attentive.
My only complaint is about the food … my best friend, boyfriend and I went Friday afternoon for brunch and we ordered chicken and waffle (me), eggs Benedict (best friend), and chicken and biscuits with gravy (boyfriend). Friend’s food was great! Mine was great other than a small questionable spot in my chicken. My boyfriend however stated there was one part of his chicken that he couldn’t cut with his fork sideways like he could on another part. It wasn’t fully cooked all the way through come to find out but it was hard to tell since it was covered in gravy. Around 1am, my boyfriend got extremely ill – wobbly in his step, dizzy, hot and dripping sweat but feeling cool to the touch, vomiting several times, borderline passing out. It was awful. Again, I would have notified sooner if I wasn’t involved in yesterday’s wedding. Great atmosphere, but please make sure the cooks are cooking, especially the chicken, the food all the way and that it’s checked prior to being served so someone else doesn’t get food poising from undercooked chicken like my boyfriend unfortunately did.
Pictures left to right – boyfriend’s undercooked meal, my chicken and waffle and egg, and my friends egg Benedict and breakfast potatoes.
The waffle was cold and not fresh. we were disappointed. The hostess/server was verynice, but we won’t be coming back because of the food.
