Tried this location for the first time the other day. Let’s start with the positives: The food seemed fresh. The veggies were crisp and colorful. The food came fast and it was hot. Now the negatives: flavor… I’m not sure where it went but it wasn’t here. None of the dishes had any flavor at all, only the bell peppers themselves. The sauces were thick and covered the dishes. The crab Rangoon was a thick pastry type shell, not the crunchy light and airy outside they typically are. I just wasn’t a fan of this location at all.

2/11/24 – I ordered Spicy Chicken Korean with fried rice. I got a plate of cabbage with little amount of chicken. It was as if I was eating a bowl of cabbage. The fried riced smelled like it was scooped back up from a trash can. It smelled so bad I’ve lost my appetite. Sad as I was a regular customer. Definitely not coming back here again and will be disputing the credit card transaction for feeding me garbage smelling food. Don’t be a business that cuts corners. Gross

For starters I found hair in my orange peel chicken. The sushi was not fresh tasting and the salmon on my Alaska roll was really iffy looking. My kung pao chicken was basically all bell pepper and barely any chicken. The rice was horrible also. I do not recommend spending your money here.

Big heaping portion but unfortunately it’s very bland. The egg roll was good but the chicken pad Thai had very little sauce, the chunks of chicken were huge making it difficult to eat. Restaurant is carry out only but no utensils given. I’ve been looking for some good pad Thai but it definitely wasn’t here.

We’ve eaten at TOA since the first one opened on Basswood over 20 years ago and LOVE it so much. Would give10 stars if I could.

We now live by the Saginaw TOA and order delivery often. We’ve never gotten a wrong order, always received excellent, hot food with plenty of soy sauce, and the drivers are friendly.

Highly recommended!

Taste of Asia was downright awful. I ordered a chicken fried rice and a kung pao chicken. The chicken in both dishes tasted extremely gamey and poorly seasoned. Disgusting. The kung pao chicken was basically a bowl of red/green bell peppers with few other ingredients. Also, they no longer offer dine-in seating. It is takeout only. You step inside through the front door into a 3 foot by 3 foot box where you get your food from a staff member through a plastic sliding window. The temperature inside was hot and not a pleasant waiting experience at all. I will never be getting food from this restaurant again.

I love good Pad Thai, and Honestly I like bad pad Thai too. But this wasn’t even pad Thai. It was rice noodles with 6 shrimp and some veggies. No sweetness. No heat. No complexity.
Just a huge disappointment for a $14 meal.

Delicious! The server did an awesome job. The restaurant clean. I ordered the Mongolian beef and my guy ordered beef lo mein. Both dishes fantastic and the portions are enough for 2. So… worth giving this restaurant a try. We will be back

Great food at a great price – always fresh and delicious. Heads up that their pad thai doesn’t taste like traditional pad thai, but definitely still tasty. Added pictures of the shrimp pad thai and Alaskan roll (sub fresh tuna instead of salmon on top).

Meh. It’s Chinese food, but it is certainly not worth a second trip.

Pros:
– Good size portions for the price
– Crab Rangoons had good flavor
– Vegetable Lo Mein had a wide variety of vegetables and the texture of the noodles was good
– Fast preparation time

Cons:
– Worst chicken we’ve ever had in a Chinese restaurant. Very thick pieces of chicken with flavorless sauce and barely fried. (General Tsos chicken, to be specific)
– Crab Rangoons were burned (disappointing since it had good flavor)
– Sauce for the lo Mein was flavorless
– No fortune cookie; truly unfortunate

An underwhelming experience: not the worst but not all that good either.
