Dining in. We informed staff that one of us had a gluten allergy and we needed the dish to be celiac safe. She agreed to remove the farro from the Mediterranean bowl to make it safe. Upon receiving the bowl, after mixing it and about to eat it we had to look closely and we discovered there had instead been extra farro put into the bowl, which is not celiac safe. To the staff’s credit, when we explained the situation they remade the bowl, but still, this shouldn’t be happening.

We were shopping in Greenbrier and decided to drop in. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. We ordered the Mediterranean Salmon Bowl and the Freemason Sandwich. They were both amazing. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious and satisfying lunch.

Nut allergies beware! This was my first visit to Taste. It was recommended by a coworker. I am writing specifically to warn anyone with a NUT allergy! I ordered the Granny Goat Salad and specifically asked for no walnuts. My sticker affirms my order was correct, however when I got back to work to eat my salad, I realized there were several pieces of walnut in my salad. Luckily I am not allergic and only just don’t like them. But if I was, this could have been a critical situation. I looked over my salad briefly before adding the balsamic dressing. Both are brown so I never saw them. It wasn’t until I started eating and tasted the candied sweet taste that I realized there were walnuts. I’m thinking this was a premade salad and they chose to pick them off before selling it to me versus making a brand new salad made to order. Or perhaps, they made it and realized after the fact that they made a mistake and tried to pick them out. Either way, this could have been a major health risk. At $14 for a salad, I had higher expectations. 3 stars because overall the salad is good, but lowered because of the health risk.

The sandwiches here were delicious. The bread was fresh, the meat was moist and tender. It was a pretty large sandwich for the price which was a nice surprise. They had a lot of ready made foods for quick grab and go. Overall it was a great experience.

Location is nice. A lot of seating. Service was super super slow. We waited nearly 30min for two sandwiches. This was our first time here and it appears this operation is not efficient AT all. Maybe they’re short staffed, and if this is the case preface the order with that information to manage expectations.

I was so excited to take my friend to Taste for the first time because I’ve always loved it — especially the Ghent location. But we ended up going to the Greenbrier one, and honestly, I was pretty disappointed.
The girl who took our order was super sweet, but the girl who brought our food over basically tossed the tray on the table and said “enjoy” in the most annoyed tone. It kind of killed the vibe.
If I’m going to spend around $40 on sandwiches, I’ll just stick to the Ghent location where I’ve always had a great experience. The food was still good, but the attitude definitely wasn’t it.

Really great food. Pricey, but high quality you can taste. Enjoyed the herb shrimp. Great place to grab and go for later. Have not tried their sandwiches. We always just stop for snacks.

I love Taste, I always get their sandwiches but today I decided to try a salad. I ordered the granny smith salad to-go. It’s supposed to come with chicken but when I got home I noticed there wasn’t any in the bowl. This location always gets my orders right, I guess it’s just an off day. I’ll get a sandwich next time.

I had the Lynnhaven sandwich with extra pimento cheese. It was delicious. For dessert, I tried the lemon blueberry bar. So good. Enough for two people. I also grabbed the jalapeno popper dip, amazing. I just threw it in my airfryer. Will I be back? Absolutely!
