I’ve enjoyed Tarka Indian Kitchen before, but unfortunately this visit wasn’t the same experience.

I ordered the same dish as last time. Chicken Tikka and it just wasn’t how I remembered it. The chicken was very tough and difficult to chew, and it didn’t taste fresh. The server recommended the coconut curry, but I didn’t find it good either.

We also ordered samosas, which were good, and a chicken biryani, but again the chicken tasted the same not fresh and too hard.

Overall, this visit was disappointing. I really hope I have better luck next time because I know this place can be good.

I was so surprised at how good the food was here! Thought it was “fast food” Indian but it wasn’t. Everyone was nice and helpful. The chicken tikka masala and malai kofta were delicious! Also enjoyed raita along with some garlic naan that packed a punch!

Google, how can I mark a negative star?
Well, I felt like this restaurant just did charity on me by sending “some” food! The quantity was honestly horrible. I was shocked. Zero value for money. Biryani didn’t taste like Biryani. The chicken inside was chewy!
Do yourself a favor, just look elsewhere. I felt completely cheated.

Not bad at all for fast food. The “not” beryiani was ok and the garlic nan very good. I’ll come back to try the curries.

Absolutely delicious food and drinks, very consistent high quality each and every time we dine in, and we have never had any issues with our orders in alllllll the years we have been coming to Tarka since they opened! We really love the staff here, they are all so kind and helpful, but especially there is a very outgoing and kind woman working often on the nights we come in who is just so exuberant, fun, and positive, such a delight to see her when we come in! WE LOVE TARKA!

The Vegetable Pakoras were perfectly seasoned and very good. Chicken Kabob Platter was also delicious with Grilled Vegetables, and Basmati Rice.
Excellent Customer Service,
everything was hot, generous servings, sauces and perfectly seasoned, all very good. Really enjoyed the Indian music and decor.

Tarka has really upped their game in recent years. After consistently poor quality food years ago we stopped coming here until recently. The food and service are now excellent and there is a good ratio of customers who were born and raised into this cuisine. Highly recommended.

Chic Indian restaurant that doesn’t change much in terms of the menu, but simply elevates the best of the cuisine to a visually aesthetic presentation. Tarka feels classy and post modern with its vivid murals and gritty street pictures of Indian scenes.

The food was plentiful and delicious. The saag channa and malai kofta were good. The naan was soft and fluffy. The paneer biriyani was decently spicy and flavored and came with the caveat that it wasn’t a traditional Hyderabadi style. Masala was chai was functional; nothing to write home about.

All the food was above average and below excellence. But I’d take someone leery of Indian food here.

Unfriendly, inattentive, sloppy service. Because of the convenient location, I come here but I learnt to check the order carefully (not a single time within a year it was prepared correctly). Last two times personnel was very unpleasant to me and to other guests.

You have to know that this is not a fancy Indian, but they make good food and are reasonably priced. Ordering through the app for pickup is as smooth as it gets. It takes a reasonable about of time (fast even), and it has always come out on time with friendly service at the car window. Great for an easy weeknight Indian.
