In the wall date spot.
I especially like how it feels like a neighborhood favorite — cozy and laid-back, perfect for lunch, dinner, or a casual night out with friends. Portions are big enough that you’ll often have great leftovers, and it’s a solid choice if you want authentic Thai comfort food in Baltimore.
Overall: flavorful, fun, and friendly — a great place to satisfy Thai food cravings.
The woman who answered the phone was so kind, patient, and genuinely sweet. I explained that I didn’t want “American spicy” — I wanted true Thai-level heat. I love extremely spicy food and can handle ghost peppers and Carolina Reapers, so I asked for the highest spice level. They absolutely delivered. The heat was real, bold, and perfectly balanced with flavor, not just spice for the sake of spice.
The tom yum soup was so good I couldn’t stop eating it. The krapow was just as delicious, and the green curry and basil fried rice were packed with flavor. Even the spring rolls were fantastic. Every bite tasted fresh, authentic, and made with care.
Between the amazing food and the warm, friendly service, this place truly stands out. I could honestly eat this food every single day and be completely happy. If you love real Thai flavor and real spice, Tarin Thai is a must-try.
I came in for a late lunch and ordered through their website. I anticipated it would take the 20 minute drive over to be ready, but the food was done 8 minutes after I ordered. The food was still hot and ready for me when I arrived.
I ordered Pad See Ew, Mango Sticky Rice, and a Thai Tea with boba. The portion sizes were excellent and I really appreciated that, even though I ordered a 0 on the spice scale, the Pad See Ew was flavorful and yummy. Sometimes it feels like restaraunts just season with salt if you need the food mild (autistic sensory processing) which is understandable but far less enjoyable than this was. I’d say the portion was a full two servings for me and I will enjoy eating leftovers. Having visited several thai restaurants in the area, $15 is a very reasonable price. The mango was fresh and ripe as well and I liked the flavor of the sticky rice.
I was very favorably impressed by the size of the to-go Thai Tea. I’ve found that some restaraunts have quite a small cup size for the price, but the cup was large and I had plenty of tea. The boba was a little overcooked, but I much prefer too-squishy to hard in the middle. For $6 + $1 for boba, I might drop by again just for the tea.
Definitely planning to return here in the future, thank you!
Personally, I’d prefer it a little less sweet to better balance the other flavors, but it was still very tasty overall. The server was friendly and kind, adding to a warm and welcoming experience.
Highly recommended if you’re craving flavorful Thai comfort food!
But it’s not just the food that keeps us coming back—the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming. Just the other day, while waiting for our order, we got to try their Thai Iced Tea… WOW. It was so good, I’m already planning my next visit just for that.
Whether it’s a quick lunch or a cozy dinner, Tarin Thai always delivers. It’s officially become a go-to favorite in our home.
