Oh. My. God. I LOVED literally everything. I took my sister here for her birthday for the first time, and can I just say literal perfection. We started off with 2 Sprites with the Habanero Garlic Flatbread for the appetizer and practically ate it within a minute.
The bread was perfect with a nice cheese layer on top, once bit you get that gooey garlic and cheese in between. For the main dishes, we got the Gnocchi Pesto and the Spaghetti Carbonara. The Gnocchi Pesto was just perfection, perfect amount of cheese and pesto, the Gnocchi itself was cooked perfectly.
The Spaghetti Carbonara was also amazing, with bits of bacon, creamy sauce, noodles cooked perfectly, all delicious. We also got a tiramisu, and they provided a free dessert for my sister’s birthday.
I would 100% recomend this restaurant, just know that the prices are not cheap but definitely worth it for the quality of food and amount given. I will include a picture of the reciept for those wondering how much everything was.

I was very impressed with Tarantella in Long Beach. I got the Linguine Del Pescatore and loved it. The sauce was flavorful, tomatoey, with little hint of spice, and some sweetness. There was plenty of clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and calamari to make the dish worthwhile. The plate was well balanced with the pasta, sauce, and seafood. Someone was playing a saxophone inside and it is a really chill and elegant vibe. I would definitely come back here if I were in the area again.

Absolutely mid-tier service and they do a great job at overcharging for small portions and average flavor. I read a review from last year’s Valentine’s Day having the same complaints as us this year (2026) although the restaurant did improve on giving customers 2 appetizers instead of 1 shared appetizer from last year’s fixed menu.
Additionally, our second course was given to us after our entree since they forgot about it. Then our dessert also came out later than expected when they forgot about it, but when we did receive it, it was frozen! When calculating the price, each course costs about $20 each which is INSANE.
I will say, the servers were polite and apologetic, but it still doesn’t take away from the bad experience we had on a supposed special day. I suggest an improvement on managing tables, having a better system on running the food out on time, and being more attentive to tables and asking them if they need anything would be a small change but a great improvement as we didn’t experience any of this during our visit.

My husband and I love coming here. The owner, Carlos always takes such good care of us! You can tell he genuinely cares about the experience.
The food is consistently so good. Every time.
The outside seating is honestly one of my favorite parts. It’s sweet and romantic, especially in the evenings. They have heaters so it’s cozy even when it’s cold, and on the weekends there’s usually live music which makes it feel extra special.
It’s the kind of place you go for a relaxed, intimate night out and end up staying longer than you planned.

The staff is genuinely so kind!!! So attentive they were all so welcoming, had great recs, and were kind to our entire table of 8. Even on a rainy night the vibes were perfect and we kept warm with their outdoor heater. They asked what we were celebrating and it was my sisters birthday, they sang a beautiful song in Italian to her and even gifted her a little something on the side!! Just wow I love my city and this Italian spot on 4th street is the embodiment of that LBC kindness and hospitality!! 10/10 can’t wait to be back and try the whole menu!!

Found this place randomly searching for new Italian food. Made a reservation and arrived and thought to ourselves “we don’t want to eat right on the edge of the street.” But was delightfully surprised that they have a wonderful outdoor dining area in the back which very nice. Servers were extremely helpful with ordering drinks and food. Live singer which was epic and had great taste in music, and also took requests. Over all.top notch locals spot thats easy to miss but hard to forget.

We had a reservation and were seated in back outside patio area because they assured us heaters were available for warmth. At first it seemed ok and warm enough, but there was a large party next to us and an entire table filled with unattended children. At first they were a little loud, but just kids being kids. After an hour or so they began to be very disruptive (running, screaming at each other, and no joke literally wresting with each other, yet not one of their parents so much as flinched, and no one from the restaurant bothered to ask the adults to attend to their children. This behavior continued and escalated further and further…..so much so that we asked to be moved away if they weren’t leaving soon. We pointed to an empty table but were told it was reserved for someone else. That table stayed empty for at least another hour. Our heater also ran out of gas and we had to ask multiple times to get it up and running again. Turns out it must’ve been defective because we had to ask several times to get it adjusted. After 2 brutal hours of unattended children bumping our table and screaming they finally left. Unfortunately, between that, being iced out with no heat, and the lackluster service (we literally had to ask for everything as our server was on her phone every time I looked up for her). Service was very slow and it didn’t seem like she understood the assignment like checking in regularly, or moving with some purpose. The food was OK and kinda pricey. They charged for everything including oil/vinegar for the bread they served. Parking in the area is atrocious. I would not go back….should’ve just gone to Olive Garden….at least their breadsticks are included….

All of our dishes were very great. I do wish they were less expensive as each dish is at least 20 bucks and they are on the smaller side. To be fair the lasagna was seriously one of the best I have ever had. When we came it was very busy so the service was slow.

It’s such a cute restaurant, the food is great, they have a decent selection of basic Italian wines and almost always have a quaint live performance in the back. My husband and I love coming here for date nights.
