We stopped here on our way back home from Clarksville VA to Chapel Hill NC. The food was remarkable. We got two tacos (Al pastor and chorizo), a pork pupusa, and a steak gordita. Literally this was the best taco I have had in my entire life. The pupusa and Gordita were also amazing! Everything was cooked to order and was so fresh. Everyone was nice and great service. Highly recommend you stop here. The price was also beyond reasonable. All this food and two drinks was $17. Tacos are $2.25 each!

This place is amazing! The best pupusas and steak tacos I’ve had in a very long time. You can see the cooks making everything from scratch while you wait. They’re truly talented. All of the women are so kind and made sure we had everything we needed along with a new menu before we left. The food is incredible and super affordable!

One of the best enchiladas Verda I have eaten and I didn’t know what a pupusa was but it’s good. Touch of spicy in the Verda and good amount of cilantro. Didn’t know what to do with the fried eggs so I ate them too. Walked out full and satisfied.
It seems like mostly a togo place and the women mostly cook. In town for work and after a long day of traveling I wished that I spoke better Spanish or they weren’t busy to explain the menu. Maybe give a sandwich a try later.

Food is excellent. Price is a bit on the high side. Menudo plate was very good and the handmade corn tortillas the best I’ve ever had, out of this world. Recommend this place. They play mexican music from yesteryear. Oldies but goodies. Ladies are very friendly and courteous. Very attentive to customer needs. Thanks to all the ladies that work here.

Legit Mexican food. Authentic flavor. Homemade fruit drinks. Very friendly staff. Typical of family owned restaurants, just one person cooking and one person taking orders. Offered me refills on the drink and extra spicy salsa.
When they found out I speak Spanish, they were even friendlier. And surprised. The TV was Too loud for my personal taste, but it’s also authentic (for these little family restaurants). As were the babies being held and passed around. Very happy babies. Mexican flags and paper doilies adorning the walls, I felt like I was back in Mexico. I’ll gladly be back.
And who else has Chicharrones?

Delicious authentic Mexican food! This restaurant is located on Broad Street next to a laundry mat. We had a quilt and a few accent rugs for laundering, so we ate lunch at this restaurant. We will eat here again.

This place truly is a gem. The most delicious handmade Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. I tried their asada and chorizo tacos and highly recommend the chorizo. I also got an asada quesadilla with a salad, rice and beans and everything on my plate was devoured in minutes. The staff was also super nice! Just go here. Its worth it!
