I usually order menudo w/barbacoa taco since weather has been cooler and flavor is always on point. I would like a bit more of the hominy/maiz and the BEST part is the corn tortilla! It’s homemade, soft and a little think but not too thick. Didn’t crack or break when folded or rolled.

We walked in and were told to sit anywhere so we sat at a small booth. Immediately we were given menus and asked our drink order. Our server came back within 3 minutes with our drinks and chips with salsa. We were ready to order food and our server took our order. Our chips and salsa were refilled before we got our food within 10 minutes. Great service, speedy food delivery, and tasty comida. 10/10

The fact that if you use the bathroom, but don’t end up buying anything to eat, they charge you $2?! Talk about a shady business… I definitely won’t be coming back, especially after reading the several other negative comments about the inconsistency in pricing and fees. Do better.

San Antonio is full of places that would be the best Tex-Mex in a non San Antonio location. This is one of those locations. The food is very good, but not great given the context of San Antonio. I loved that the server (nor anyone else who worked there) barely spoke English. She was especially sweet and provided swift service- which was no easy accomplishment given that we arrived while they were slammed.
The food came surprisingly quick and was served at just the right temperature. The salsa was more runny than I expected and had a surprisingly smokey flavor.
The think I think that what sets this place apart is that they served fruit smoothies, and had a large selection of hard liquor, more than I expected. We didnt try alcohol or fruity drinks, but If that’s your thing, this may be that magic local place for you.

At the corner of Walzem and Mid-Crown there is Mexican food restaurant, in the Walzem plaza strip center. I had breakfast at this morning.
The establishment was clean and the food was alright (it wasn’t great) for the following reasons: The coffee was not fresh and it was weak. I suggest that when making coffee you need to make it stronger and make it on the hour. I ordered 4 Bacon egg Tacos with cheese and a coffee and the service could be more attentive to the people. I give the place 3 stars based up on my experience. I do not recommend this place. However though if you decide to go here to eat. Just remember all the reviews people have said about this place.

Best fruit drinks.. I asked for a cucumber frescas and they made it. They have ALL kinds.. Bean and cheese tacos are wonderful. And the restaurant has been my favorite for home-cooked authentic for 15 years. Highly recommend
