The Mexican Potato
I was looking for a new place to try so I decided to try this place because they advertised tacos de trompo. Food was prepared fast but the ladies didn’t look happy to be at work. I don’t blame them. I ordered a few tacos de trompo but just in case I didn’t like them I also ordered a torta cubana. The first thing I tried were the tacos. They looked good but they lacked flavor. When biting into them the meat was chewy. The amount of fat in the meat overpowered the meat. I frequently spat my food out because I didn’t like chewing on pure fat. On top of that the limes were dry and the salsa didn’t have any flavor whatsoever. I was excited about the torta cubana because I have yet to try one I didn’t like. Well, the first thing I noticed was yellow stuff oozing out of it. After taking a bite of it I got this strong taste of bologna sandwich. I understand torta cubanas have salchichas in them but when pairing them with regular yellow sandwich cheese it straight up tasted like a sandwich. The milanesa had this weird after taste I wasn’t fond of. I don’t know what kind of bread they used but it didn’t taste like traditional bolillo. It was too doughy (empalagoso). The name of the place sounded familiar and after tasting the tacos I remembered I had tried their restaurant in Dallas once. My brother in law bragged about their tacos and he decided to take us to try them out. I remember thinking the same thing after eating at their dallas location. Too much fat and not enough flavor. I’m gonna let him know his favorite tacos are right down the street from us but I don’t see my self returning to this place. Tip: if you ever see yellow cheese at an “authentic Mexican restaurant” RUN!!!

Second time trying, both times the meal was prepared really fast .. my meat tastes good but is really dry , the rice taste like it’s out of a package or something doesn’t taste like Spanish rice at all . For the price I paid I’m not really satisfied if it was cheaper i wouldn’t complain

First time coming to this taco place! It appeared to be a very small family owned business. They were two ladies in the back making the tortillas fresh. The atmosphere was good. Had good music playing in the background. I had the tacos de asada. They were very delicious and had tons of flavor. Their red salsa is very good! I highly recommend this place! Next time I’m in FT Worth I plan on eating here again!

I ordered barbacoa tacos and they were gross. No flavor whatsoever, my jalapeño seemed like it was dehydrated and even the onions were gross…didn’t even taste like onions. I will never visit this location again. The location in Dallas is the bomb and actually tastes like great Mexican food. I wish it was closer

The food is usually great but the customer service and experience has gone downhill. I come in and order my food and the older lady acts like it’s a pain to take my order. She constantly made a face every time I told her my order. When my food was ready I asked if I could have some extra sauce because I had 16 tacos and she makes a disgusted look, sighs, and walks away to the back. Then I get home to find 4 of my tacos are missing and considering they are $2/taco that’s a loss of my money. But the real loss of my money is the quality of these tacos that I know that lady didn’t care to put. The least they could do is answer their phone and make it right. It’s a sad day when Taco Bell probably would’ve given this Hispanic customer a better experience. No mas Taxco from now on.

Spent 30.00 on 2 burritos that were supposed to be big. My husband was still hungry. The chicken was so hard i could hardly chew it. Way over priced!! I could have spent 10.00 dollars more and went to Texas road house. Sorry but never again don’t waste your money. Chipotle is more authentic than this place!!

Food can be amazing. But thats only 50% of the time. The other 50% it’ll incorrect. Customer service is horrible. My kids even noticed how rude the cashiers are. (When they’ve mess up our order), The guy who works at night named Jose, is the worst. He literally watches what you put on the tip line, then acts according. But why would I tip a rude cashier who doesn’t even do his job correctly. Find a better place to spend your hard earned money.
