En 1969 mis abuelitos comenzaron una rica tradición familiar, en la ciudad de Matamoros, llamada #GORDOLELE. Vendiendo unos pequeños pero riquísimos taquitos y tres salsas, Tomate, Tomatillo y Chile. Después en 1982 mis padres abren otra sucursal. Con el tiempo fuimos incrementando más productos, tostadas, sopes, flautas, tamales, frijoles a la charra y cueritos curtidos. Y en el año 2006 abrimos mi madre y un servidor Sheko de la Garza, la primera #TAQUERIASHEKOS y hoy en día contamos con 5 sucursales

Been wanting to try this place for some time now. So my husband decided to try this place with me & i should say wow. Im impressed by the service. Our waiter was tentative. Food was good. I ordered 3 of tripa dorada & 3 of bistec. I love tripas doradas. Lemonade was good but cup was to small. Other than that we were pleasantly happy.

Restaurant was clean. I was able to get a table quickly and my waiter was attentive. Being that it was my first time at this restaurant I tried quiet a bit of everything. Went in only for tacos de tripa and ended up ordering: 2 tripas tacos, 1 barbacoa taco, 1 bistek taco, 1 carnitas taco, 1 al pastor torta, 1 deshabrada torta, frijoles especiales, and those little cinnamon sugar cookies you get at weddings. Best thing for the price was the tortas!

Some of my favorite tacos in town. The molleja and suadero are great. But the best things on the menu are the mini tortas. Combined with their warm salsa you can make a makeshift torta ahogada, very good. -tuesdays, tacos are at $1.25, great value.

They didn’t have barbacoa so I had tacos de bistec which tasted kinda odd. The corn tortillas were soggy and ripped easily. I ended up with a mild case of food poisoning, constipation with stomach pain and mild fever for two days. Never going back.

I really loved the suadero, carnitas, and mollejas dorado. The green cream salsa is the best and the plain tomato. Definitely get beans too. Eating there is much better than takeout.

This is a fantastic restaurant for street tacos. They accommodated for our 30+ mission trip group, and provided us some really good tacos. The red and green salsas were excellent with the tacos. Atmosphere was fun and friendly. Would eat here again for sure.

A real find, especially for an out-of-towner. Absolutely fresh ingredients, prepared perfectly and quickly. Friendly fast service. A HUGE variety of tacos – the most fillings I have ever seen. Everything was neat and clean, but the ambience was a little sparse – easily forgiven when the food and service is perfect. Brownsville people, you are really fortunate!
