Ordered two steak tacos. Tacos come prepared with cilantro and onions. I added the homemade red sauce and a touch of salt.
These tacos are legit. The closest thing in flavor to Tex-Mex style taco’s I used to have when I lived in Houston.

DO NOT GO HERE EVEN IF IT IS THE LAST PLACE OPEN, STARVING IS A BETTER OPTION! My $8 32 oz drink came with maybe 25 oz. My birria taco came as a pile of meat and beans so clearly they don’t know what birria tacos are. The box was split so the consume they threw in the bottom of the container spilled everywhere. The meat even with consume is dryer than the Sahara and Death Valley’s child as you can see in the photos it rips like jerky and is incorrectly flavored with the wrong chilis. The drink is good but not for $8 and not even the full drink. Go to literally any other place you can this place is not good at all.

I have to give a low score, due to the lack of respect and rudeness. Not sure if he is the owner, but he doesn’t belong in front, dealing with customers. He was rude to my wife. Then was rude to another customer and they just left. Tables were dirty too. I never liked leaving bad reviews, because I know how hard restaurant owners work. But this bald guy was ridiculous.

Simple yet comprehensive menu with all your mexican favorites. I had the chicken tacos with onion and cilantro. The chicken was tender and shredded. I used the green salsa which was savory and had just the right kick. Full cooler of Mexican sodas. Recommended, will return.

Don’t go-save your money! They said that this is how they make menudo with huge pieces of panza or tripa. I got this for a friend of mine. I try to warn him because I’ve been here before and the people aren’t nice, the chicken is canned and No flavor. I’m including the picture that my friend sent me of what I gave him. I called the restaurant and I complained. They seem not to care. They didn’t offer replacement. They all they kept insisting with that is how they make it??!!! I’m Mexican I have been eating menudo since I was child and I have never in my life heard of huge chunks they also did not include Homey corn! That’s basic!

The food is as good as most authentic small Mexican restaurants in Madison. No complaints with quality. Prices? You’ll pay $50 here for what you can get for $25 to $30 at most other places. Dine-in isn’t air conditioned well, and is just a few old tables and chairs. Food is much better than this ambiance.
Many other places aren’t open Sunday nights.
So if money is no object and you need great Mexican takeout on a Sunday night? This will work.
But so will a bunch of other places for half the price.

Authentic, but that doesn’t always translate to good. I imagine part of the issue is what I ordered, but this was my experience nonetheless: total hole in the wall in a hidden strip mall, which was promising. I don’t eat beef or pork, so I asked for chicken even thought it wasn’t on the menu. Huge mistake as they brought out what was clearly just canned chicken barely heated up. It was a huge amount of chicken in each taco which almost made it worse. I imagine if you eat beef or pork that their other options (Al pastor, lengua, etc) are better, but nothing special. Tortillas weren’t fresh either.

We were charged 2x the amount for our order, one of them was made incorrectly and was charged 30$ for nachos that were a extremely small portion. First time going. Last time going. Was super excited to support a local business but not this one.
