A review for those that don’t know about the Monroe Mexican community. If ever if this are, make time to stop by Taqueria Romero’s.
Amongst the better taquerias I’ve been to. The food is very good, the service is very good and the ambience is a clean with plenty of seating.
My drink was very refreshing and not overly sweet. The tacos were delicious, not greasy and very generously served with the usual salsa verde, Pico de Gallo lime and jalapeño slices.
Absolutely recommend if looking for an authentic taqueria experience.

This is a hidden gem. We have eaten there many times over the years, although I have never done a review. They have many authentic dishes. Their Chile Rellonos are authentic and they use Mexican cheese and not mozzarella like a lot of restaurants. It gives it a much better flavor. There empanadas are good, although not spicy. They are called quesadilla frito there. Their hot sauce is spicy and has good flavor.

I went there with some friend and found a hair on our plate and the wa I waitress handle money and we never seen her wash her hands whenever she came to take our order. Not Sanitize or Clean place to eat and food that advertising isn’t the same whenever they bring out to you. Won’t never EAT THERE AGAIN!!!!!

Best taco I have had east of the Mississippi. Chicarrons, crispy fried pork carnitas. That’s the real deal. Tort, meat, cilantro and raw white onion. Mild green, spicy red salsa. Should have had a sip of tequila as well.
