Stopped here late afternoon, 9-19-25. Early for any dinner crowd. The location was really nice; clean, well maintained picnic tables, nice outdoor lighting strands. Staff friendly, menu simple but still decent amount of choices available. We both had the carne asada taco combo plates. Very good! Plenty of steak in the two tacos, excellent flavor, too. My favorite was actually the pinto beans. Perfectly cooked with a savory broth- not mashed, not refried. Came with rice as well in typical style and flavor profile. Nicely fluffy, it paired well with the beans and tacos. Good price, plenty of food. Will
Happily come back when we travel to the area again.

As a person who enjoys authentic Mexican food (and has traveled thru Mexico), this place really scratched my itch. Probably as good as you’ll get in Traverse City and nearly as good as I’ve had in my travels.

Just found them when they moved into Nobo Mrkt at Commongrounds. Simple, authentic, really flavorful food. Amazing guacamole, and even the beans and rice are solid. I’ll be eating here a LOT this summer.
