I absolutely love the food at Taqueria Mixteca so I stop by every time I’m in Dayton. I grew up in south Florida and my standards for authentic Mexican are high. This place always delivers. I’m a big fan of the pozole (weekends only) and all of the tacos. My husband loves their burritos which are huge. The atmosphere is super casual and a bit busy but I’ve always found a table and have been served right away. Great food every time!

This is by far my favorite mexican food in Dayton. As someone who grew up outside of San Antonio, I am always on the search of a place that reminds me of home. Each time I come in I get their choriqueso, birria, and an horchata when I want to treat myself. I never leave here unsatisfied. I highly, highly recommend Taqueria Mixteca to all of my friends.

Excellent authentic food. We had chiliquillas with carnitas and red sauce, also cheese enchiladas, and a horchata drink… delicious. Top notch food and service; I wish we lived closer to T.M. but it’s still worth the drive. The carry out and drive thru were busy, but they still delivered perfect customer service to us. Check your order for carry out. You would think chips would come with salsa. You have to order them separately. Customer service is really unfriendly. The food is quite good, but unpleasant customer service leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Five stars because of the shredded goat taco. (Only available on weekends) Maybe the single best taco I’ve ever had. The restaurant isn’t fancy, but that taco made me feel like I had been blessed by some Mexican grandmother. I only got one, I tried some others that were also very good, but if I come back through here, I’making sure to pack a hunger and I’m gonna eat about 6 of those.

To start, the food was really good. The chips and salsa were the only thing we didn’t care for, and charging $2.50 for more chips is absurd to me. The queso was weird..but good. Fajitas, tacos, burrito, and even my son’s hamburger were all very good. His kid’s plate was the size of an adult entree, my daughter’s kid burrito plate was more child size portions.
