I’m from AZ and I miss good Mexican food more than anything. This is easily the best Mexican food for 200 miles in any direction.

The crazy part is that their Destin counterpart is easily the worst Mexican food on the planet. I avoided this place for over a year because of how bad the Destin Mi Gente is and I’m bummed I did. I don’t know what the difference is, but this is the place. Do it. You won’t be upset.

I’m shocked I’ve not reviewed this place already. I’ve been going here for years. Excellent food. Great service. Love the attached mercado. This is pretty much the only place I can get good Mexican food around here. Those other places like peppers and whatever that other is ate straight garbage. It’s a blessing we have at least one good place in this area

Easy 10 out of 10. The workers were smiling and happy. There is so many different toppings. I accidentally ordered salsa and chips not knowing my meal came with it. This place is worth your stop. It looks closed from the outside because the windows are tinted but I promise you it’s great!

People are getting ripped off at this place. I’m not from FWB so I’m not sure if the area lacks good Mexican food places. When I walked in, I made them aware it was my first time there and they were not very helpful or friendly. A lot of menu items were unavailable. When I asked questions about the menu, they seemed annoyed. We ordered many different menu items so we could try them. With all the food we ordered, I thought we’d get free chips with our food but no, we had to pay so we didn’t get them. The food was already expensive enough. Some of the food was alright but it was NOT worth the money. Other items, like the fried chicken were not good and I would not recommend getting it.

Best Mexican food this side of the Mississippi river, very authentic! Great variety on the menu, my favorite is the Steak burrito. You can order A la carte or complete dinner with rice and beans and salad. Try their salsa bar too! You won’t be disappointed!!!!

I’m a very big fan of “hole in the wall,” types of taquerias and this shop has everything you could ask for. The staff are super friendly and mostly speak Spanish, but there’s always someone available to speak English. The food is well worth the price and the flavor is very close to home cooked meals. The shrimp and al pastor tacos keep me coming back for more. 10/10 will return and absolutely recommend.

The food has been sitting there for a while. It was burnt and excessively greasy. We didn’t even finish our meal that’s how bad it was.
The service is non existent. We had to clean our own table and start eating before they came to clean the table. (There were no other tables available)
It was our first time going and our last time.

Closed 13+ minutes early, one saw me at the door and walked away. The other I had to knock on the door to see if the door was malfunctioning and instead of letting me in and letting me get the pork rinds I’m always in there for they turned me away!!! What the hell is the point of posting business hours if you have someone who only needs 30 seconds to grab what I wanted and gone with 10 more dollars in your drawer???!!! Not good at all! I run a business and would never do that common guys!!

Very clean!!! If you are in Destin and want some real Mexican food and delicious Street tacos try this place. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Will definitely be back soon.

We have eaten here twice. Once we just got tacos and the other we ordered plates. Both times were were really good. The complaints I have are the beans were dry (like they had been sitting in the pan too long and just dried out) and there just wasn’t much flavor…same goes for the rice. Rice and beans are a menu staple and that is one thing you should have perfected in any Mexican restaurant.
I am from the western side of the country and Mexican food is amazing.
Mojita cheese would help, too.
The meat choices are good. We had pastor, lengua, pork belly, biche and carnitas. All were tasty.
Chips and salsa bar were good.
I would recommend this place.
It is byfar the best Mexican we have had since we moved here.
