This was our first time visiting this Taqueria restaurant with a family of seven ❤️. The (I didn’t get her name) waitress was working Tuesday night when we came in to eat. She greeted us all, asked us what we like to drink. She also brought out chips and hot sauce too. She gave us a few minutes more to look at the menu. She returned to place our order. Friendly and Politely. Food came out one by one to our table. Everything looked delicious, tea was delicious too . Great atmosphere, wonderful waitress and great tasting food. The restaurant deserves five stars ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐. This one restaurant has it all.
Again, our family experience was great and the food was satisfying. One restaurant me and my family will be returning to soon. Thanks for taking care of us for dinner tonight.

Great little Tex-Mex place. A decent whiskey selection and impeccable service. They were slammed and our waitress regularly checked in on us and insured we had everything we needed. I’m a little spoiled on Mexican food as I come from New Mexico so I can’t exactly give it a five-star rating (which I very rarely do anyway). That being said, if I graded it on a scale of Waco or even Texas Mexican food places, it would be a five. EDIT… Came back and bumped it to a five star. You have to grade on a scale and although this place would be a decent restaurant four stars in New Mexico, it’s easily one of the best Mexican food restaurants I’ve been to in Texas.

On Wednesdays, there some special on margaritas. I can’t remember exactly what. Two or three dollars. They are good. I had enchiladas and they were good. I love their salsa and chips. I think it’s the first Wednesday, my friend always reminds me so I don’t keep up, there’s a terrific band. They play cover songs from a variety of genres. They aren’t especially polished, but that’s part (most) of the fun. They have fun playing and we have fun watching and singing along.

We arrived on a Sunday at 5:30. It wasn’t too busy. I told my girlfriend to get me a water if they ask for drinks. I wasn’t in there long at all but when I came back they had our drinks at the table, salsa, and chips. This is a good sign since it showed me they were on top of it and quick with the service from the start. They came back after a few minutes to get our order.
I ordered the Taco Salad, my gf ordered the Abuelitas Plate, and my MIL got the Quesabirra “Birras”. We also ordered a large queso.
The food came out pleasantly quick but not too fast where you question the freshness! It was hot and delicious.
My favorite thing we ordered was the Quesabirra. The pastor meat was a bit fatty for me. My taco salad was good.
The pastor is the reason this is 4 stars instead of 5. But the service was great and the call button works well. I appreciated the way they made us feel like our business mattered. They kept our salsa topped off and refilled our drinks whenever we asked.

I would eat at taqueria number 9 at anytime of day at any time of the year with anyone and I’d do it gladly. The best Mexican food around. I love everything about this place. You can’t beat the price or the quality of food. I highly recommend the beef fajitas. And also everything else.

My salad was pretty good. The service could have been better since our table was in need and missed on some refills. The fan above us was on high and couldn’t be turned down. We could’ve just moved tables but didn’t want to. There were many workers but not in the dining area, where we could get their attention. The food was ok for the rest of my table but we also had to order an extra side of tortillas to finish our food. There was 4 adults at our table with a good hundred dollars in tickets but ok sure we’ll pay for 2 little tortillas to finish our food. Lol The other thing I didn’t like was just getting my water after all of my people got their margaritas (in 2 trips) for 2 margaritas! The other person got their tea or whatever and THEN my husband and I got our 2 waters. I wanted to take my pills before we ate. So, it was just ok. I was not too excited about this place.
