The homemade chips really knock your socks off and the house salsa is a perfect smoky, spicy and sweet pair with the chips. The mixed drinks from the bar were extremely generous and tasty. The fajitas and other entrees could each just about feed two people and absolutely did not skimp on the protein portions. And I can’t forget the choriqueso. Another home run in execution.
The interior space is tight and loud during the dinner rush but the service kept pace and was extremely friendly. I’ll definitely be back soon

What a fun spot?! Food was outstanding. We split the chicken fajitas and they were awesome. The chips and salsa were really good too. The salsa had some kick to it and some of the other ‘samples’ the server brought with the chips and salsa were delicious as well. Sat outside and that was a lot of fun. Love this place.

This was our first time visiting but it will not be our last. The service that Abner provided was awesome. He really seems to be a fine person and treats everyone with respect and attentiveness. The food and generous portions made the evening memorable. The taste of the meal was just perfect. I highly recommend Taqueria Mercado. Enjoy!

Authentic Mexican food right in downtown Cincinnati! I found this gem when staying downtown for business. I had a Carne Asada plate. Plenty of delicious food. The meat, rice and beans were on point. Friendly service. The ambiance is great. A great place to try if you are interested in having some real and authentic Mexican food.

Sat at bar for dinner. The drinks were good. The food was also good. I had the enchiladas. Although they were more like a soft taco than the traditional enchiladas I’ve had before. the staff was friendly and the service was good. I will be back next time I’m in the area.

This quaint spot served up some amazing food. It took awhile to get our order and never had drink refills. It was not busy so I expected better service but I loved the food. Chips are amazing!!

Nice location, large restaurant, full bar and decent size of beer offerings, employees were friendly. I wish I were able to review the food but even with only a handful of customers, it took 45 minutes for us to get two orders of chips and salsa. The chips are delicious, perfect thinness without being dry or greasy. Will definitely try again when I have no timeline for the day.

No frills Mexican. Go there weekly but have only ever gotten the sopa de pollo and chips. Service is awesome; everyone is so nice.
