It wouldn’t let me write a review for the new location. However I want to say the place is very welcoming as soon as I walked in I was given a warm greeting and asked about my day. I ordered my food which was Carne Asada meal, while waiting the gentleman at the counter and I chatted he should definitely visit Alaska like I told him lol!! I’d like to thank Jaun for the warm welcome and great conversation, also the ladies in the kitchen for the delicious food.. I will for sure be back.. Go give this place a try they won’t disappoint:)

Guy at the counter was SO nice! We just popped in to get tacos and Papusas and it was so affordable and absolutely diabolically delicious. The barbacoa tacos were unreal. The papusas brought a tear to my eye. This is the spot yall.

Originally gave a 3 star due to them messing up my burrito both times I came (food was good) but change to 1 star because I decide to come back and they had me waiting in parking spot for 15 minutes and I go in and ask how much longer and they tell me 10 more minutes. Meaning while other cars were getting their order. I will not be back nor do I recommend unless you got time to waste. I’ve gotten better and faster experiences at other restaurants.

Came here for lunch on a recommendation. It was very crowded but everything was great.
Started w chips & salsa. Both are made in house and the salsa is served hot (as in temperature). Tomato based w fresh pico (I’d never had salsa served cooked/hot). It was delicious.
Tacos: barbacoa, al pastor, carne asada
Barbacoa had been recommended by friend and was perfectly seasoned and succulent. Al pastor was pretty good I’d say average. The carne asada was dry and flavor was lacking. I didn’t finish that taco.
Pupusa: calabaza y queso
Ordered two because the first one was so good. Finely shredded zucchini and spices with delicious cheese inside. The cabbage/vinegar garnishment tasted bland, was lacking in flavor.
Service: Server Maria was wonderful. She was friendly and helpful.
Atmosphere: No frills whatsoever but food and service is what you go for. Liked the Mexican music station and the Spanish tv channel. Restaurant, including restroom was clean and organized.
Will return and definitely recommend this spot.

I wanted to update my review because my original review was made about 2 years ago (2021). Myself, along with my family, and now many friends are regulars here. It is my go to spot when we can’t decide on a place to eat or if I have a craving for hearty, tasty, comforting, authentic like home Mexican food. We love this place!

Los Vazquez is such a great place to get authentic Hispanic food. It is locally/family owned, and the staff is small enough to become familiar with you after a couple of visits. The food is fresh and mostly cooked to order, so if you don’t have time to sit, calling ahead is the best option. They have a pick up window which has been very useful during these recent changes. The best deal is their family tray, which is an awesome option if you want to try a few different things, and need to feed the family.
The tray is plenty of food for a family of 4, but we usually get one or two other items because we love everything on the menu. The owners and all the employees are always very nice and take time to explain each item if it is something I’ve never heard of, I’ve seen other peoples reviews that said food was missing, but I can not imagine anyone at Los Vazquez not making this right if the customer just mentioned that there was an issue. Their tamales are soo good, & their soups are worth waiting all week for. They also have the best horchata.

If you know, you know—Los Vazquez in Bowling Green serves up some of the best tacos in town! I always go for the al pastor and steak tacos, and let me tell you… they NEVER miss. But the real MVP? Their BBQ-style salsa—I have no idea what’s in it, but it’s straight-up magic in a bottle.
Oh, and let’s not forget… the pupusas here are ELITE. If you haven’t tried them yet, you’re seriously missing out.
Wash it all down with a glass bottle Jarritos, and you’ve got yourself a meal that hits every. single. time.

My friends and I came across this place while on a road trip and I cannot recommend it enough! The food was excellent quality, with a great variety on the menu and a type of authenticity that you only get at a local spot. Our server was very friendly and had great recommendations for us.
